Chasing waterfalls in Providencia de Dota

-After breakfast, set out for the lush highlands of Providencia de Dota.

-Today’s highlight is a choice between two breathtaking waterfalls: El Salitre, famed for its mineral-rich stone walls and wildlife drawn by the salt, or the serene Divine Providence Waterfall, nestled among blackberry fields and ancient oaks. Both locations offer dramatic backdrops for waterfall photography, with opportunities to capture the unique ecosystems and the pristine Savegre River basin, one of Central America’s cleanest waterways.

-We’ll get settled at the lodge, and enjoy a quiet night in nature.

Choose your own adventures in nature

-The day is yours for the taking. Head out and do some birdwatching, explore the Savegre River Basin, or simply relax at the lodge.

San José: Through your lens

-Return to San José and immerse yourself in the city’s vibrant daily life with the Bites & Sites tour. Wander bustling markets, sample exotic fruits, and discover the deep-rooted connections between food, history, and community. Capture candid moments, colorful produce, and the rhythm of local life as you explore the heart of Costa Rica’s capital with a knowledgeable guide.

-The night is free for you to relax or continue exploring after the sun goes down.

Jungle after dark: Sarapiquí’s nocturnal magic

-Travel north to the lush rainforests of Sarapiquí and settle in at the Tirimbina Biological Reserve.

-As night falls, embark on a guided night walk through the jungle, crossing suspension bridges and delving into a world alive with frogs, insects, bats, and other nocturnal wildlife. Your camera will capture rare behaviors and the mysterious beauty of the rainforest after dark – a true highlight for nature photographers.

A final farewell in the city

Refunds for deposits
We will hold your spot as soon as you put down your deposit. However, if you decide to cancel your trip, we will be unable to refund your deposit.

Refunds for balance payment
If you cancel your trip on or before Dec 3, 2025 at 11:59 PM local time (GMT -6), you will get a refund of the remaining balance. This may or may not include the deposit amount. See deposit refund section above.

If you cancel your trip from Dec 4, 2025 at 12:00 AM local time (GMT -6) onwards, no refunds will be issued.
