Amazing company! We had such an amazing time in Costa Rica! I hadn’t been abroad in decades and had so many questions and really no idea how to plan a trip. Randall at Coast to Coast was phenomenal! He set up a wonderful trip for us that was a perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. He responded to my millions of questions quickly, reminded us of things we had to do before travel, and helped us every step of the way. Definitely will be using Coast to Coast again!!

Great Costa Rican Adventure – We did the 12 day Coast to Coast Costa Rica Adventure trip with five of our friends. It was without a doubt one of the best trips we've ever experienced. We were impressed with the way CtoC took care of us right from picking us up at the airport, to sending us on our way after the trip concluded. They provided top notch equipment, accommodations and meals, which to us is good value for our travel dollars. On the adventure, the five guides made sure we were safe at all times, and gave us excellent assistance. We were a varied group - and all levels of skill were accommodated - we never felt rushed or hurried along. Our favorite section of the trip was staying at the river camps after rafting the Pacuare River. If you like adventure - then hike, bike, raft and kayak across Costa Rica!

Day 1

Welcome to Costa Rica! Find your new favorite dish during a hands-on cooking lesson with a local

We’re super excited to have you here in San Jose, the bustling capital city of Costa Rica! Now, there’s no better way to discover a country than through its cuisine, so we hope you’re ready to cook up a storm. Take your culinary skills to the next level and discover delicious Costa Rican cuisine during a fun hands-on cooking lesson. Bound to be filled with tasty moments and plenty of laughter with your host, this is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity where you can take pointers from a true local. Learn about tasty ingredients used in Costa Rican dishes, discover unique household customs, use new cooking techniques, and prepare a mouthwatering meal to savor alongside your new friends! Enjoy your wonderful welcome dinner before heading to your accommodation for a restful night.

Day 2

Take a thrilling journey down the Pacuare River on an epic rafting adventure

Rise and shine! Indulge in a hearty breakfast this morning — you’re in for an exhilarating adventure today. It’s off towards Puerto Viejo we go! Before that, we’ll stop at the breathtaking Pacuare River and embark on a splash-tastic rafting expedition down multiple class III and IV rapids. Considered one of the best places in the world for whitewater rafting, this stunning river winds through the heart of Costa Rica’s most verdant jungles and flows right into the Caribbean Sea. You will have the chance to fuel up with some lunch halfway through the activity. Once you’ve completed your rafting adventure, we’ll continue to Puerto Viejo de Talamanca (known simply as “Puerto Viejo” to the locals) located on the laid-back Caribbean coast, where you can check into your accommodation for a well-deserved rest. Tomorrow, you’ll be able to enjoy Puerto Viejo and its beautiful beaches to the max!

Day 3

Free day — spend it however you’d like!

Open your eyes to beautiful Puerto Viejo! This vibrant and charming seaside town is one of the country’s best-kept secrets, with golden beaches, swaying palm trees, crystal-clear waters, and a relaxed atmosphere making it a truly idyllic place where you can leave your worries far behind. This is also where the legendary Salsa Brava reef break — the most powerful surf spot in the country! — is located. It’s not hard to see why this town has become so popular with the young and the adventurous. Spend your time doing whatever you like today. Explore Puerto Viejo and its beautiful surroundings, discover the area’s many beaches (Playa Cocles, Playa Chiquita, Playa Negra… you have plenty to check out), or sign up for some great activities (see optional add-ons section below). The choice is yours!

Day 4

Continue to discover Puerto Viejo before we head back to bustling San Jose

Today, we return to San Jose, but we don’t have to say goodbye to Puerto Viejo just yet! You have a few free hours in the morning to tick off any last-minute bucket list activities in town. Need more beach selfies? This is the time to do it. Once we leave the Caribbean coast and head back to the city, you won’t have another chance!

All aboard — enjoy an epic two-hour party bus tour in San Jose!

Once the sun goes down, it’s time to get serious with the partying. Why hit the clubs when you can roll through San Jose and have your very own party on wheels? Get the music started, bring out the best drinks, and experience San Jose by night with an awesome party bus experience you’ll never forget.

Day 5
