Call of the Wild: Costa Rica’s Most Breathtaking Adventures with Karah

-Welcome to Costa Rica, where adventure is the way of life and every corner is waiting to be explored. After we land, the journey officially begins with a group transfer to our hotel, getting to know our crew along the way.

-After check-in and dropping your bags, the rest of the day is schedule-free. It’s our only night here in the country’s capital, so make the most of it with exploration and connection!

-It’s time to leave city life behind and dive into the wild. A scenic transfer takes us to La Fortuna, home to the legendary Arenal Volcano.

-Our first stop here is Mistico Hanging Bridges Park, an immersive rainforest experience through the jungle and across hanging bridges. Keep your eyes peeled for howler monkeys, sloths, and even neon-colored poison dart frogs!

-We’re diving deeper into Costa Rican culture at Arenal Vida Campesina, where you’ll get hands-on in a cooking class. Learn how locals whip up traditional dishes using fresh, homegrown ingredients, then enjoy the fruits of your labor for dinner.

-Finally, a short transfer takes us to our home for the next few nights. With hot springs on-site and volcano views in the background, this is the perfect place to unwind for the remainder of the night.

-Today, we’re going off the beaten path! We're heading to Tenorio Volcano National Park, home to Rio Celeste, an otherworldly-blue waterfall.

-This isn’t your average river. Thanks to a wild natural reaction between volcanic minerals, the water turns an electric blue! A guided hike through the park takes us deep into the jungle, past bubbling thermal vents and exotic wildlife, leading to the breathtaking Celeste Waterfall. After soaking in the views (and snapping the ultimate photos), we’ll refuel with a traditional Costa Rican lunch inside the park.

-Back at the hotel, the rest of the day is yours. Lounge by the hot springs, book a spa treatment, or just kick back with a drink and relive the day’s magic.

-Hit the road to Los Chiles, a small town near the Nicaraguan border and the gateway to Caño Negro Wildlife Refuge, one of Costa Rica’s most biodiverse ecosystems.

-Hop aboard for a boat safari through this lush, remote wetland. It’s a prime wildlife-spotting paradise, home to caimans, iguanas, river turtles, and a sky full of exotic birds. If we’re lucky, we might spot howler monkeys swinging through the trees or even the elusive jaguarundi.

-After the safari, we’ll stop for a traditional Costa Rican lunch before heading back to the hotel.

-The remainder of the day is totally free to take on however you wish. Thrill or chill – it all happens here!

-We kick things off with a hike to La Fortuna Waterfall, one of Costa Rica’s most stunning cascades. With a 200-foot drop into a jungle pool, the trek down is steep but totally worth it.

-Next, it’s time to take things to new heights (literally). We’re strapping in for a ziplining adventure through the rainforest canopy. Soar through the treetops at heart-racing speeds with insane views of Arenal Volcano and the jungle below.

-Afterward, we are heading to Ecotermales Hot Springs, a natural thermal paradise surrounded by rainforest. This is the perfect way to recover from the day’s adventure, plus we dine in style with a buffet dinner right here at the springs.

-From here, we return to the hotel for a free night. Rest up for your travels onward tomorrow or burn the midnight oil making the most of your last Costa Rican night.

-After one last breakfast surrounded by the lush beauty of La Fortuna, it’s time to say goodbye to this adventure-filled paradise. We’ll take a scenic transfer back to Juan Santamaría International Airport (SJO), soaking in the final glimpses of Costa Rica’s vibrant landscapes along the way.
