Cancellation policy

TourHero, the retreat host, and the tour operator reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this trip up until October 26, 2024. If the departure is canceled out of your control, you will be alerted by this date and will receive a full refund.

In this case, TourHero is not responsible for your preparation expenses, such as airline tickets, extra accommodations, loss of work, or any other cost associated with preparing for your trip. We recommend booking travel insurance, along with refundable flights/accommodations in case of cancellation.

Welcome to stunning La Fortuna, Costa Rica!

Warm, sunny Costa Rica welcomes you as you step off the plane at San Jose International Airport. Ahead of you is a week of relaxation, peace, and time for introspection and growth. We begin with a transfer to our accommodation, a perfect jungle lodge that will immediately feel like home. Take some time to immerse yourself in the serene surroundings and embrace the essence of the retreat before an introductory session that will give you time to meet your fellow travelers and establish a connection with Rozalia, your guide, teacher and host. We'll end the day with dinner, a time for us to socialize and embrace our physical health with delicious, whole foods.

Visit the iconic Arenal Hanging Bridges in between rejuvenating yoga sessions

Good morning! Awaken to a quiet, still morning and get ready to get in touch with your spirit during a harmonious vinyasa yoga flow and meditation session. It's an excellent way to begin the day and strengthen the mind-body connection, something you can continue working on throughout the day. Breakfast follows, allowing us to fuel up for today's adventure to the enchanting Arenal Hanging Bridges! This excursion will give you an entirely new perspective on the jungle as you gaze down on it from above. After plenty of time to commune with Mother Nature, we will return to the retreat, indulge in lunch, and relish a bit of free time for personal reflection. To wind down, a yin yoga session rejuvenates both body and soul. Dinner once again concludes our day.

Embark on a journey through Costa Rica's history with a chocolate tour

Rise and feel the sun's calming presence as it drifts down through the dense canopy above. The day begins once again with vinyasa, energizing you before breakfast. We will then come together as a group for a chocolate tour through the retreat's cacao plantation. We will discuss chocolate's role throughout Costa Rica's history in addition to its spiritual properties. You will also get to participate in the making of chocolate and, of course, get to taste some! The rest of the day continues in a gentle rhythm, with healthy food, luxurious free time, and another yin yoga session.

Day 4 · December 4, 2024

Hike to a waterfall and embrace nature's impossible perfection

Another sunrise brings us another day full of opportunities for personal progress and inner epiphanies. After our regular morning schedule of vinyasa yoga and breakfast, we will depart from the retreat and head to Tenorio Volcano National Park, the setting for today's adventure. Accompanied by a knowledgeable guide, we will trek through the rainforest, listening to the sounds of the wilderness and feeling one with the Earth. Then, like magic, the breathtaking Río Celeste waterfall will appear before you. Seemingly sculpted by a divine power, this gorgeous waterfall is the perfect place to reflect on the universe's mysterious power. We then hike back so that we can return to the retreat for the evening.

Day 5 · December 5, 2024

Focus on self-care with a day of relaxation

It's time to shift gears slightly. Today, we will embrace a mode of deep relaxation, offering our bodies, minds, and spirits the care and rejuvenation they deserve. We begin with vinyasa and breakfast in the morning before a morning and afternoon of free time. During this time, you can do whatever it is that feels natural to you. Relax by the pool, continue working on your yoga practice, book an additional session; just follow your heart. In the afternoon, we will once again leave the retreat and head to the Eco-Termales Hot Springs. Here, you can choose between two hot springs areas, finding the perfect temperature to coax your muscles into releasing tension. This therapeutic experience will prepare you for a restful night. After plenty of time to soak, we will share a dinner at the hot springs before returning to the comforting embrace of our accommodation.

An herbal medicine workshop prepares you to continue progress once the retreat ends

One of the main lessons of this retreat is that wellness is a holistic process. One must address all aspects of their health in order to live a truly embodied and fulfilling life. To help attain this, we will be attending an herbal medicine workshop today. Not only will this be an enlightening lesson on the healing powers that can be taken directly from the Earth, but it will also equip you with tools to continue your progress towards a healthy life once the retreat comes to a close. A yin yoga session in the evening will help stabilize our energy levels before a closing circle where we will reminisce on the great times we have shared and look bravely towards the future.

Say goodbye to Costa Rica after an amazing week

We have reached the end of our time here in Costa Rica. From hikes in the jungle to empowering yoga sessions, from group bonding to individual realizations, this retreat has been utterly transformative. For now, though, we will return home so that you can continue working on yourself in your own way. Thanks so much for joining us! Safe travels and be well.

Will TourHero or the operator take care of my visa (if applicable)?
