hi, i’m christa (they/she) — your snack-driven, soft chaos TourHero.
i’m a disabled grad student, writer, and care worker who travels with one goal: to eat something that ruins me for all future versions of that dish. i curated this trip because food is my love language, and peru? she’s fluent.
i once cried eating uni in queens because it was that good. i will cross boroughs, time zones, and poorly marked trails in search of the perfect bite. if there’s a bustling market, a dusty little bakery, or someone’s abuela selling magic in a cup—I will find it.
this trip is for slow mornings, spontaneous wanders, and meals that make you audibly moan at the table. it’s for people who romanticize fruit stands, carry chili crisp in their bag, and want to experience a place through its flavors, textures, and shared laughter between bites.
if you’re the kind of traveler who wants to eat first and ask questions later (and maybe cry a little because the sauce was that deep)? you’re in the right place. come thru hungry.
