bio

Hi there, I'm Jackie a former teacher and now marketing specialist in Ed-tech (and MBA student as well!) traveling and seeing the world on a student budget all while working a 9-5. I want to help you to travel and experience it all as well!

My journey started in the classroom, where I fell in love with the Spanish language, and from there I started traveling in Latin America every opportunity I could get. I've visited every country in Central America, plus Peru, Ecuador, and Colombia in South America.

Colombia has become like a second home to me—I’ve visited eight times and can’t wait to share its magic with you on this trip!

Join me on this incredible adventure as we experience Colombia’s vibrant culture, breathtaking landscapes, and unforgettable experiences.

Day 3 · March 9, 2026
Cultural immersion

-Today, we’ll experience something truly special — an immersive visit to a Kogui indigenous community. The Kogui are direct descendants of the ancient Tayrona civilization, and their wisdom about nature, sustainability, and spirituality will be deeply inspiring.

-We’ll share a traditional lunch with them, hear their stories, and gain insight into a way of life that’s remained unchanged for centuries.

-Sign up for a Caribbean cooking class to learn how to whip up local flavors.

-After returning to our hotel, the rest of the afternoon is yours to unwind and reflect on this incredible cultural experience.

-We’ll spend the day hiking, swimming, and soaking in the breathtaking scenery, with a delicious local lunch to refuel along the way. In the afternoon, we’ll return to our hotel, where you can relax before our final night in Palomino.

Day 5 · March 11, 2026
Coffee and waterfalls

-After breakfast, we’ll check out and head into the heart of Colombia’s coffee region for a hands-on coffee experience.

-Learn how beans are grown, harvested, and roasted before sipping some of the freshest coffee of your life!

-From there, we’ll hike to a stunning waterfall for a refreshing dip — because what’s better than a natural jungle pool?

-In the afternoon, we'll depart for Minca and check in at our dreamy retreat in the mountains.

-Enjoy some free time to take in the spectacular views.

Day 6 · March 12, 2026
Sunrise above the clouds

-Set your alarms because we’re heading to San Lorenzo Peak before sunrise!

-This hike takes us to one of the highest points in the Sierra Nevada mountains, where we’ll watch the sun rise above a sea of clouds. It’s a moment of pure magic and the perfect way to reflect on this incredible journey.

-After returning to the hotel, the day is yours — relax at the lodge, go for a nature walk, or book a massage.

-We’ll wrap up our trip with a farewell dinner, celebrating new friendships and unforgettable memories.

Day 7 · March 13, 2026
Until next time, or maybe...

-After one last breakfast together, it’s time to check out and head back to the airport. For those heading home, it’s goodbye for now.
