Rise and shine! We’ll be leaving San Jose behind today for an adventure to the incredible Manuel Antonio National Park, located on the Pacific coast, where the scenery is gorgeous and the beaches must be seen to be believed! While Manuel Antonio is considered Costa Rica’s smallest national park, it packs its fair share of surprises — Forbes has ranked it among the 12 most beautiful national parks in the world! Expect impressive landscapes and coves, delightful hiking trails, and a lush tropical rainforest to be your playground for the next few days. We’ll arrive at your accommodation just in time to check in. Then, you are free to spend the afternoon however you please. There are plenty of optional activities to sign up for (see optional add-ons section below), from guided hikes to sea kayaking to surfing lessons, and plenty more! Note: National parks in Costa Rica are closed on Mondays.
Time to get an epic tan! This morning, you are free to discover the stunning white-sand beaches that stretch along the coast of Manuel Antonio National Park. The delightful Manuel Antonio Beach and Espadilla Sur Beach are about a 30-minute hike from the main entrance of the park — both are exquisite spots for relaxing and experiencing pure tropical sunshine and bliss. As late afternoon arrives, it’s time for all of us to set sail out onto the sparkling waters of the Pacific for our epic sunset catamaran party and snorkeling tour! Make a splash with your friends, observe incredible marine life living amongst the coral gardens (from brightly-colored parrotfish to meandering eels), try to spot dolphins and sea turtles from the catamaran deck, and take a hundred selfies with the setting sun out in the ocean!
Today, it’s your last morning to work on that Manuel Antonio National Park bucket list! What will it be today? A ziplining tour that takes you high up above the canopy of the rainforest? Or perhaps a horseback ride through the jungle to a hidden waterfall? There are so many options — you decide! After all the excitement at Manuel Antonio, this afternoon is a chance to slow down. We’ll leave the Pacific Coast behind and return to San Jose. Back in the city, you’ll have the evening to rest, relax, and (if you’d like) explore the city at your own pace.
How time flies! We hope you’ve enjoyed your time in Costa Rica. After checking out of your accommodation, make your way to the airport in time for your flight back home. Until next time — we hope to see you again soon!
