Hey there, I’m Shelby!

I’m a travel-loving single mom who believes that adventure doesn’t have to stop when you have kids—it just evolves. I curated this trip for families because I know firsthand how important it is to keep exploring, even with little ones in tow. Travel has always been a huge part of my life, and now, I want my daughter to experience the magic of new places, cultures, and connections just as much as I do.

Before becoming a mom, I was all about adrenaline—my wildest travel moment? Bungee jumping over a rainforest canyon (10/10, would scream again). These days, I still love a little thrill, but I’m just as excited to slow down and immerse myself in local traditions, food, and the stories of the people who call each destination home.

Whether it’s chasing sunsets, finding hidden gems, or making memories that last a lifetime, I can’t wait to share this journey with you! Let’s explore, experience, and make this adventure one for the books.

Indonesia > Family Fun Under The Balinese Sun with Shelby

Bali’s magic makes it more of an experience than a destination, and this 7-day family-friendly escape is designed to soak up every bit of it. Every day brings a new adventure, like washing elephants in lush sanctuaries and snorkeling with manta rays in the crystal-clear waters of Nusa Penida. The kids will go wild meeting mischievous monkeys in Ubud, while parents can unwind at stunning waterfalls and infinity pool lounges. Culture comes alive with hands-on Balinese dance and cooking classes, and there’s plenty of free time to just breathe, relax, and enjoy the island at your own pace. Chasing sunsets, exploring rice terraces that look straight out of a dream, and watching movies on the beach under a sky full of stars are highlights, with every moment blending adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable moments for every member of the family. If your ideal vacation is one where the kids have just as much fun as the adults, the excitement and chillaxing go hand-in-hand, and every single day is packed with bucket-list-worthy moments, this is the journey for you. Paradise found

-Welcome to Bali! The moment you step off the plane at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), you’ll feel the island magic – warm ocean air, lush greenery, and that signature Balinese hospitality.

-Connect with your travel group for the first time and start getting to know each other as we head to our resort.

-After check in, take some time to settle in, get to know the resort’s offerings, and prepare for a week of fun to come.

-Tonight, we’re kicking things off in style with a welcome dinner. Expect a delicious spread of local flavors and a laid-back vibe to set the tone for the week. Whether you're here to soak up the sun, make memories with the fam, or let the kids run free, Bali is about to deliver. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure!

Day 2 · February 3, 2026
Myth, monkeys, and magic views – oh my!

-Your first full day in Bali kicks off with a hearty breakfast before diving into the island’s rich culture and stunning landscapes.

-First stop: witness a performance of Barong Dance, a vibrant tradition that brings Balinese mythology to life. It’s a colorful battle of good vs. evil, complete with elaborate costumes, hypnotic gamelan music, and some seriously impressive dance moves.

Next, we’re off to the legendary Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary in Ubud. This lush jungle is home to hundreds of playful (and sometimes mischievous) long-tailed macaques. Keep your snacks tucked away, because these little guys are curious and bold!

-From there, we take in one of Bali’s most iconic views at Tegalalang Rice Terrace. Picture endless layers of emerald-green fields cascading down the hills – you’ll definitely want to snap a few photos of everyone for your scrapbooks. Lunch is a treat today at Cretya Ubud, a jungle club-style restaurant with insane views over the rice terraces.

-After lunch, we chase waterfalls at Tegenungan Waterfall, one of the island’s most accessible and beautiful cascades. Take a dip or just enjoy the refreshing mist.

-Finally, it’s back to the resort to unwind. The rest of the evening is free for you and your crew to take on your way.

Day 3 · February 4, 2026
Today was a movie

-Rise and shine to another beautiful Bali morning. We’re discovering even more of the island’s treasures.

-Perched on a rocky outcrop in the sea, Tanah Lot Temple looks postcard-perfect. During high tide, it looks like it’s floating on the ocean, adding to its mystical vibe. It’s one of Bali’s most sacred spots, dedicated to the sea gods, and a perfect place to soak in the island’s spiritual energy. After exploring, we’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.

-The afternoon is all yours. Whether you want to hit the beach, lounge by the pool, or sneak in a spa session, this is your time to relax and recharge.

-As the sun sets, we’re switching up the pace with a movie night at Times Beach Warung. This beachfront spot is known for its chill atmosphere, cozy bean bags, and an open-air screen playing classic and indie films under the stars. Grab a bevvy, sink into the sand, and enjoy a perfect ending to the day.

Day 4 · February 5, 2026
New horizons in Nusa Penida

-Today is set for adventure from the start, because we are venturing to Nusa Penida, Bali’s wild and breathtaking neighbor. Think of it as the cool, eccentric sister to the island haven we have enjoyed thus far.

-Dive into snorkeling at Manta Point, Crystal Bay, and Gamat Bay. These waters are famous for their crystal-clear visibility and diverse marine life. If we’re lucky, we might even swim alongside majestic manta rays gliding effortlessly through the ocean. Schools of tropical fish, colorful coral gardens, and the occasional sea turtle make this an unforgettable underwater experience.

-Next, it’s time for a land tour of Nusa Penida’s most jaw-dropping sights. We’ll start with Kelingking Beach, the famous T-Rex-shaped cliff that towers over turquoise waters. It's one of the most photographed spots in Bali for a reason!

-Then, we’ll check out the natural rock formations of Broken Beach, where the ocean has carved out a circular cove.

-Finally, we check out a slice of heaven at Angel’s Billabong, a stunning natural infinity pool where the water is so clear, it looks unreal.

-As the afternoon winds down, we’ll hop back on the boat and return to the resort. The evening is free for you to relax, explore, or grab dinner at a spot of your choice. After a day packed with adventure, a laid-back night is well-earned for everyone.

Day 5 · February 6, 2026
Now we’re cooking

-After a few action-packed days, today starts slow and easy. Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and some well-deserved free time. No matter if that means lounging by the pool, hitting the spa, or exploring nearby shops, the morning is yours.

-We’re diving into Balinese culture with a traditional cooking class. Guided by local chefs, you’ll learn how to craft authentic Balinese dishes using fresh, local ingredients. This hands-on experience will have you chopping, mixing, and savoring flavorful creations in shock – yes, YOU made this!

-After lunch, it’s time to move with a Balinese dance class. This isn’t just any dance – it’s an art form with centuries of tradition. You’ll learn the intricate hand gestures, graceful movements, and dramatic expressions that bring Balinese storytelling to life. It’s all good if you're a natural or have two left feet, because it’s all about having fun and embracing the island’s vibrant traditions.

-Afterward, we head back to the resort for a relaxed evening. Dinner is on your own, so feel free to explore new flavors or revisit a favorite spot. Enjoy the evening unwinding under a star-speckled sky.

Day 6 · February 7, 2026
Gentle giants and a grand farewell

-Today begins at the Elephant Park, with breakfast before we dive into discovering how incredible these creatures truly are. You’ll get to experience an elephant wash, helping bathe and care for these giants. Afterward, explore the park, learn about conservation efforts, and observe these incredible animals in their lush sanctuary.

-After saying goodbye to our new elephant friends, the afternoon is unscheduled to get in any last minute wish list items. Hit the beach one last time, grab some last minute souvenirs, or swing back to one of your favorite food spots for one more bite.

-As the sun sets, we gather for a farewell dinner, celebrating an incredible week of adventures, relaxation, and unforgettable memories. Expect good vibes, great company, and a perfect ending to our Bali escape.

Day 7 · February 8, 2026
Until we meet again

-Our last morning in paradise starts with breakfast, a final chance to soak in the island vibes before we check out. With its golden beaches, cultural experiences, and pure relaxation, Bali has given us a trip to remember.

-After packing up, we’ll take a group transfer to I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS), where we say our goodbyes (for now). Though the journey ends here, the memories, photos, and sun-kissed glow will last long after we leave. See you soon!
