Head into the heart of the Inca empire

As the sun's rays bath Lima in hues of gold, enjoy a delectable breakfast to start your day. Today, you say goodbye to Lima and head into the heart of the Inca nation in the Sacred Valley. After the meal, gather your things and store them on the tour bus as you begin your journey. Before heading to the airport, a walking tour of Lima will get you acquainted with the cultural landmarks of Peru's capital city. Visit places such as Plaza San Martin, the Government Palace, the city's Main Square, and San Francisco Convent.

Once at the airport, grab a quick lunch before hopping on your flight to Cusco. On arrival, a group transfer will take you towards your home for the night in Urubamba. Along the way, you will get to soak in the sights of Peru's rolling hills and immerse yourself in local culture through textile workshops. Tread deeper into Inca history

On day 3, you will find yourself at the crossroads of fun. Enjoy a delicious breakfast as the morning sun creeps from behind the shoulders of Sacred Valley's mountains. For the rest of the morning, go on a relaxing trek towards an Inca fort, finishing off with a traditional lunch at a local village. Your journey eventually takes you Ollantaytambo, a living testament to the engineering prowess of the ancient Incas. You can choose to visit the ruins at Ollantaytambo for an additional fee.

A train ride will then take you through the towering Andes and down to the high jungle that envelops Aguas Calientes, the gateway town to the fabled Machu Picchu. Check in at your hotel and rest for the night. Tomorrow, your Inca adventure will lead you to a new wonder.

Day 4 · September 2, 2024

Explore the intriguing Machu Picchu

Get pumped up! Today, you will visit the enchanting Machu Picchu, symbolic of the ingenuity of the Incas. Gather after breakfast and head towards the bus station to catch a shuttle to Machu Picchu. A short ride later, you will find yourself standing before the majestic wonder of the world. Perched atop the Andes Mountains, the ancient citadel continues to whisper tales from a bygone era. Your guide will help interpret the messages left behind by those who came before. Wonder at the structures of the ancient outpost harmoniously integrated with the natural landscape that surrounds it.

After the visit, a shuttle bus will take you back to town just in time for lunch. After fueling up with food, catch a train back to Ollantaytambo. From there, a group transfer will take you back to Cusco.

In the evening, we celebrate the good times together so far in a pisco-tasting session at Museo del Pisco. Learn about the history of the traditional drink and learn to make a glass of it yourself. As you enjoy the drink, toast to each other's company and indulge in refreshing ceviche or tapas.
