As a corporate leader and yoga practitioner for many years, I understand the impact that mindfulness, stress reduction and movement has on the mind, body and spirit.
After several life impacting events between 2020-2022 I awakened and decided I wanted to share the amazing gifts I have received from yoga with the world. I left my corporate career as a Senior Sales Manager in May 2022 and completed my 200-hour yoga teacher training in December of 2022. As a wife, mother, and accomplished in a demanding career I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed with no end in sight. Finding yoga & meditation has changed my life and my mission is to help others find the same. Whether you have never been on a mat or practice regularly I will introduce you to relaxation tools to use in your daily life and in your personal practice.
My mission is to alleviate the apprehension of yoga by introducing practices for every BODY! It’s my experience and belief that if you can breathe, you can meditate and do yoga. You don’t need to be flexible, have prior experience, or be in great shape. You just need to be open and present. You can do it, put your breath into it!

Shift into relaxation mode as you land in beautiful Costa Rica, the home of your transformative journey through movement and self-discovery. After collecting your luggage, board our comfortable shuttle for a group transfer. The scenic drive to The Goddess Garden Eco Resort is one that will be etched in your memory, as you marvel at the picturesque landscapes, quaint villages, and exotic flora and fauna that pass by your window.
After you check into your beautifully-appointed room, we encourage you to unpack and unwind, as this place is your sanctuary for the coming days. Take a few moments to familiarize yourself with the serene surroundings of the resort, where nature is your nearest neighbor.
As the day turns to dusk, join us in the resort’s tranquil shala for intention setting, meditation, and journaling. This is the time and space to get to know the group and share your hopes and dreams for the coming days as you begin your new journey into the world of yoga. To close out the night, we’ll come together for a delicious welcome dinner, featuring locally-sourced cuisine. Share stories with your fellow retreat members, and immerse yourself in the warm and inviting atmosphere.
After the sun rises over the tranquil treetops, greet the morning with an enlightening Breathwork session. As a gentle introduction, Darien will guide you through basic breathing techniques that will help you connect with your inner self, releasing energy blocks, fears, and other negative emotions that have been locked away deep within your body. Coupled with journaling, this practice can be incredibly transformative and will set a positive tone for your day and week at the retreat.
With hearts open and minds refreshed, enjoy a nourishing breakfast before a free afternoon to enjoy the area as you please. Take a walk in the surrounding jungle, read a book by the pool, or head to the beach for some sun and sand.
As the afternoon transitions into evening, we’ll come together for a restorative yoga session. This yoga style is perfect for beginners. It’s all about slowing down and opening your body through passive stretching. During the session, you’ll use props to help you hold poses longer, allowing you to completely relax and rest. Don’t worry if you’ve never tried it before; Darien will ensure you feel comfortable and supported throughout. From here, we’ll close out the day with a delicious meal and a great night’s rest.
As the sun comes up over the coastline, harness the beauty of the morning with an energizing yoga class. This session is perfect for those new to yoga, as it will focus on awakening the body and mind through gentle movement and breath. Feel the tropical breeze brush against your skin as Darien guides you through postures that will leave you feeling refreshed and empowered. From here, enjoy a delicious breakfast and ample free time to relax by the pool, soak up some sun at the beach, or book an optional adventure in the area.
As the day begins to wane and twilight paints the sky in hues of pink and orange, we’ll assemble for a serene candlelight bliss yoga session. The soft flicker of candles and the gentle caress of the evening air create a tranquil environment to deeply connect with oneself. This gentle yoga practice will be infused with calming postures and mindful breathing, creating a space of peace and stillness within. Finally, we’ll gather under the starlit sky for dinner, taking this time to bond, share stories, and relish in the communal spirit of the retreat.
Our day begins with an introduction to balance poses. Balance is an essential element of yoga, and it’s not just physical – it’s about finding harmony between your body and mind. Darien will guide you through a series of simple poses, focusing on stability and alignment. Don’t worry if you find it challenging at first; it’s all part of the learning process.
After nurturing our breakfast, the rest of the day is yours for the taking. You might want to use this period to process your learning from the morning session, or simply relax and enjoy the resort’s amenities.
As the evening unfurls its cool embrace, we’ll close the day with dinner. The shared meal will be a perfect time to reflect on the day's experiences, connect with others, and immerse yourself in the calm atmosphere of the jungle backdrop.
After a peaceful night’s sleep, we’ll start our final full day in Costa Rica with a grounding yoga session, establishing a connection with the Earth and finding stability within yourself. From here, enjoy a delectable breakfast and ample free time to enjoy the resort, the shoreline, and the adventure activities scattered throughout the area.
When the sun begins its descent, casting a golden hue upon the landscape, we’ll gather for a calming session of Yin yoga. This style of yoga involves holding poses for longer periods, allowing deep release and relaxation. It’s the perfect way to unwind and is exceptionally beginner-friendly.
The day culminates in a special Farewell Dinner. Under a canopy of stars, we’ll come together for one last evening of camaraderie and reflection. Share stories, laughter, and perhaps even make plans to meet again. Reflect on all that you’ve learned, how far you’ve come, and the new possibilities that await when you return home.
As the dawn breaks on our final day together in the lush haven of Costa Rica, we’ll come together for a sacred Closing Circle. This is a time to honor the transformations, insights, and bonds formed throughout the retreat. After our hearts have connected one last time, we’ll proceed to breakfast before checking out and taking our group transfer to the airport.
