Cecilia Fareri
My name is Cecilia, and my life's journey has been a tapestry of experiences that have shaped my passion for yoga and its transformative power.

Originally from Italy, I've had the opportunity to live in various countries, including Zagreb and Teheran. My time in Iran was marked by both love and fear during the war with Iraq. Throughout my life, sports and dance have been my companions, leading me to become a Zumba teacher.

In Switzerland, I spent two decades in the corporate world, but life's challenges guided me towards a more mindful path. After experiencing loss and health issues, I discovered yoga, and it became my anchor in turbulent times. Through this practice, I found inner peace and restored balance in my body and mind.

Yoga, for me, is a powerful tool for self-discovery and healing. It helps release tension and build strength, but beyond the physical, it's a journey to the heart and soul. With breathing techniques, meditation, and asanas, we can rediscover our inner strength and tranquility.

My deepest wish is to share the gift of yoga with others, helping them find joy and trust in their bodies, minds, and souls. Together, we'll work towards achieving balance and becoming the temples of our own souls. Our retreat offers a warm and welcoming space for people from all walks of life, coming together to embrace the beauty of yoga and the unity it brings.

Gurumaa Vrindaji
Gurumaa Vrindaji showed extraordinary signs of a mystic in the making early in life. From the very beginning she was being blessed by mystics and sages right at her home. From the tender age of nine, Gurumaa would put such questions before her school teachers and others that they would be surprised by her sharp intellect and deep insights in spirituality. Those around her felt it remarkable that a child of her age could ask such questions.

Gurumaa received her education from an English convent school. Once it so happened that a sage came to her school to deliver a talk on moral science. Gurumaa stood up and asked the Sage: Who is God? Have you experienced His presence? Are you reading about God from the scripture or are you saying what comes from your own experience? The sage did not answer her questions but went straight to the Principal. When Gurumaa and her parents were called to the Principal's office, the sage requested that their child with her exceptional abilities be trained to spread the message of God. From an early age, Gurumaa showed a special affinity towards the seers. She would listen to their talks and ask them various questions. They would happily answer all her queries as they knew she was not asking from curiosity alone. Gurumaa also started writing poetry at an early age. These poetic expressions came from the depth of her heart. They are her innocent offerings to the divine where the divine is seen as the beloved and sometimes as friend. During her childhood, she used to meditate in silence and liked to listen to the philosophy of Vedanta.

One day, she went into deep Samadhi [union] meditation at cremation ground which was the place of dead bodies, everyone around her was surprised to see her like this. Many of her family members thought she had some mental illness but she was in such a spiritual stage which is beyond.

Gurumaa had also begun in her own way to deliver satsang even when she was in school. After school was over, she would rush to a place where she would deliver her satsang. People were drawn to her and made every endeavor to be a part of her sessions. She has full faith in ancient Ayurvedic treatments and Yoga and conduct training classes in her Aashram also.

Gurumaa Vrindaji is a great humanitarian Spiritual master and Co founder & Secretary Of SHRI SHRI GITA SOCIETY non profit spiritual organization, her Aashram is at holy river Ganga in Varanasi, India.

She has in- depth knowledge of ancient Indian scriptures and philosophy like Upanishads, Yoga Sutars, Ayurveda and Bhagwat Gita. Her unique traditional methods of teaching like Upanishads and different kriya meditation techniques helps seekers to relieve frustration, stress, anxiety, insomnia, depression, muscular as well as mental tension. Her discourses,Healings sessions and consultation workshops are organized in different parts of the world.

As per her teachings, a spiritual master is like a Mother who brings light of knowledge that vanquishes the ghost of lust, anger, greed, ego and hatred from a person's life and helps to become a master of his mind.

Details

Day 1

Enjoy a warm welcome to Zanzibar as you settle into your beachside resort

Zanzibar, an island paradise off the coast of Tanzania, welcomes you with open arms. Blue skies, pristine weather, and the glittering, open ocean offer you a reprieve where you can focus on yourself and begin crafting a new understanding of your identity as a mother, a woman, and a human in this magical universe of ours. Check in, unpack your bags, and prepare to embark on a personal journey.

Once you're settled, it's time to introduce you to the retreat's theme and the schedule for the next few days in a welcome and orientation session. We'll then have an opening circle where you can set your intentions as we create a sense of sacred community. The evening continues with a grounding kriya meditation before we complete the day with gentle evening yoga and one more guided meditation focused on helping you find your center.

Day 2

Embark on the journey of emptiness and find stability in your Root Chakra

Rise to the first morning of the retreat and watch how the sunlight glances off the surface of the ocean as the early tide comes into the beach. After a nourishing breakfast, you'll attend a session of life force energy activation with Gurumaa. Here, you'll learn how to access and control energy that is currently laying dormant within you, an incredible discovery that will benefit you in countless ways. Then, after a bit of free time in the afternoon, we'll come back together to focus on our Root Chakras with Cecilia using grounding sunset yoga and guided meditation.

Day 3

Embrace creativity with dances and Sacral Chakra awakenings

Today is an opportunity to embrace your own creative spirit, so wake up and get ready! We'll begin by discussing the science behind the chakras and our bodies before jumping into a goddess kirtan, a kind of group call-and-response mantra that is a tool for giving praise to divine powers. We will accompany this with music, dancing, and healing, creating a safe space for expression and communication.

In the evening, we will once again close out the day with sunset yoga and a guided meditation. This time, however, we will be focusing on our Sacral Chakras. Opening asanas and hip openers will activate the physical side of our Sacral Chakras before we find emotional and creative release during our meditation.

Day 4

Master your mind and find empowerment

Good morning! As usual, we'll begin the day with breakfast, giving us time to come together as a group and get ready for our first session. We'll then meet with Gurumaa and begin a talk about mastering your mind. Here, you'll find the ability to control your emotions and your connection with your environment. We will then have a session of tantra healings where hands-on techniques will be used to activate energy in your body, clearing you of trauma and helping you to push past blockages.

As afternoon blossoms out of the morning, free time will allow you to care for yourself in whatever way feels correct to you. Then, after dinner, sunset yoga and a guided meditation centered around the Solar Plexus Chakra. Designed to give you a sense of power, this session will focus on strengthening your body and empowering your mind.

Day 5

A day of healing as you open your heart in stunning Zanzibar

The healing process continues today. Awaken, mothers, and head to a discourse on the art of Kriya, a key yoga discipline, and Samadhi, a meditation practice where one can reach a state of union with the divine. We will then begin pushing this philosophical discussion into the physical realm with Kriya rituals, meditation, and healings. Our wellness sessions continue into the evening with Cecilia as we open our hearts and surrender to further healing. Gentle backbends and heart-opening asanas lead to meditations that will end the day in a state of acceptance.

Day 6

Dive into the art of surrender and begin integrating the lessons from the retreat

It's the last full day of our retreat, so we're going to shift our focus from our present moment to the future. Approach each session today being mindful of how you may be able to integrate this new knowledge into your daily life once you return home. We'll begin with a discussion on the Art of Surrender, a mode of thought that holds immense importance for mothers, before jumping into another kirtan mantra meditation. Our time with Gurumaa today will end with one-on-one consultations where you can express your emotions and ask questions as you prepare to continue tackling wellness on your own.

After light, serene free time, it's time to come together with Cecilia to bring the trip to a close. Integrative sunset yoga will balance our chakras before a closing circle where we can reflect and share insights and epiphanies from the retreat. A guided meditation follows where we can practice integration and surrender. The evening ends with a closing ceremony where letting go will be embraced as a ritual.

Day 7

After a transformative time in Zanzibar, it's time to head home

Our retreat comes to an end today. Although it's always bittersweet when a journey like this comes to an end, you've gone through an immense amount of healing in a short time, and you're now armed with the tools to continue this process once you're home. After a final breakfast where you can say your goodbyes, we'll head to the airport and fly home. Thanks so much for joining us!
