Before we dive head first into the new year, let's pause and take stock of everything that we've achieved in the year before. Let's give ourselves some time to enjoy a deep rest amidst the tranquil forests of Akumal and recognize the effort we have put into shaping our dreams. Everybody needs to take a break once in a while, you included. For five days, we are going to escape into serenity at our sanctuary in Mexico. Awake each morning to a breakfast spread before calming our body and soul through yoga and journaling. In the late afternoons, we come together to set our intentions down. Every day will bring a new adventure as we visit Cenote Dos Ojos, the Coba Ruins, and experience an ancient Temazcal ceremony. Not only will you rest well, you'll also eat well. Allow the wonders of nature and ancient traditions to heal you. At the end of our journey, you'll feel restored and revitalized, ready to take on the year ahead. Cancellation policy

TourHero, the retreat host, and the tour operator reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this trip up until December 10, 2024. If the departure is canceled out of your control, you will be alerted by this date and will receive a full refund.

Day 1 · January 15, 2025

It's a new year — start by relaxing

In the past year, you must have worked hard to accomplish your goals and dreams. Now that a new year is afoot, it is important to take some time for yourself to heal, relax, and restore your energies for the year to come. Welcome to a transformational yoga retreat that will inspire you for your upcoming adventures. After you land in Cancun International Airport, a group transfer will usher you to our sanctuary for the next five days.

Nestled amidst the lush forests, Ekumal is tucked away in the quiet of nature, allowing you to leave behind distractions and zero in on positivity. Upon your arrival, check in to the retreat and get comfortable. Afterward, an introduction to the retreat will help set the tone and chart our way towards revitalization. As day begins to give way to night, we gather for a sumptuous dinner and get to know one another.

Day 2 · January 16, 2025

Marvel at the work of nature at Cenote Dos Ojos

As the genial rays of the sun peer into your room, feel the fresh air fill your lungs as you rise from your slumber. The day begins with a delectable breakfast, each bite a nourishment for your body and soul. After food, we stretch our limbs and calm our minds in a yoga session, allowing our thoughts to flow freely as our body moves. Following that, we take stock of how far we've come in our individual journeys in a journaling session. Give yourself credit for the past year, and focus on all the good that has happened.

After the physical and mental exercises, we embark on an adventure to remind ourselves of the majesty of nature at Cenote Dos Ojos. As you take a dip into the marble blue waters at the cenote, be in awe at the patience of nature that shaped the cave that surrounds you.

Back at the retreat, a scrumptious lunch will be served to fuel us up. Later in the afternoon, we nimble minds and muscles through a yoga session. Once again, we will focus our intentions on the good things, but this time, we will do it together to tap into the spirit of community. The day concludes with a refreshing dinner.

Day 3 · January 17, 2025

Allow history to remind you of what truly matters

As the forest around you welcomes morning with bird songs, you awake to a symphony of nature. As before, enjoy breakfast in the serene landscape before a yoga session. Attune your body to the flow and align your mental state to the vibrations of the universe. Once we have cleared our minds, we settle down and begin to think about our goals for the year to come, manifesting the belief that we are capable.

Today, our worldly adventures take us to Coba Ruins. As you trek through the ancient city, each cobblestone will remind you of those who came before and each step you take will whisper tales of a bygone era. Atop its pyramids, feel humbled by the grandiosity of time, the scene before you a reminder about what truly matters during our lifetime on this earth.

We return to our sanctuary to be greeted by a freshly prepared lunch. After our mid-day meal, we gather again for a yoga session before settling down to reflect on our experiences. Together, we will feel our inner spirit being restored to a state of health. A delicious dinner will serve as a conclusion to our amazing day.

Day 4 · January 18, 2025

Cleanse your body and mind in a Temazcal ceremony

As you hop off the side of your bed today, you'll feel extra light on your feet. You'll feel extra relaxed as a wave of enthusiasm and excitement for the day ahead wash over you. We begin the day with a hearty breakfast that will delight our taste buds. Through a morning yoga session, we will align our inner energy with positivity, allowing our minds to flow to the things that empower us. Afterward, we sit down and express ourselves by putting pen to paper, setting our intentions for the year ahead. Later in the morning, we let our hair down by enjoying a day at the beach. Sink your toes into the soft sand, feel the Sun rays kiss your skin, and allow the rhythm of the waves to serenade you.

We'll enjoy a delicious lunch at the retreat before a free afternoon for you to do as your heart pleases. Mid-afternoon, we will rid ourselves of any unwanted hindrances to our journeys forward by combining ancient traditions with modern intentions in a Temazcal ceremony. Guided by a shaman, we'll sweat out all negativity and allow the ancient ritual to purify your mind, body, and soul. With our minds cleared, we gather for one last yoga and journaling session as a community.

As evening dawns, we sit down for a final dinner together. As we enjoy the tantalizing flavors, we reminisce about the good times we shared in the past days, indulging ourselves not just in food but also companionship.

Day 5 · January 19, 2025

Head home revitalized and ready to take on the year

In the blink of an eye, the end of our adventure amidst the tranquility of Akumal's forests nears. For one final time, enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast, each bite filling you with memories and positive energy. Before we leave for the airport, we gather for a closing circle to fill ourselves with empowering energy and express gratitude to each other for the companionship. Although the trip is short, the bonds forged will last a long time to come. A group transfer will then take us to the airport for our flight home. As you journey home, we hope you'll feel relaxed and restored, ready for the year to come. Don't forget, rest is important and deserve it. Take care, you got this!
