Born in 2003, Un Sueño Cabañas del Pacifico is a community ecotourism project based in San Agustinillo on the Oaxacan coast of Mexico. Now a popular resort destination with a private beach, eco-cabanas, dedicated yoga and meditation space, and a local restaurant, the Cabañas del Pacifico are now operating tours, activities, and excursions to get tourists and travelers invested in their community. Cancellation policy
TourHero, the retreat host, and the tour operator reserve the right to cancel or reschedule this trip up until September 6, 2023. If the departure is cancelled out of your control, you will be alerted by September 6, 2023 and will receive a full refund.
In this case, TourHero is not responsible for your preparation expenses, such as airline tickets, extra accommodations, loss of work, or any other cost associated with preparing for your trip. We recommend booking travel insurance, along with refundable flights/accommodations in case of cancellation.
Refunds for deposits
We will hold your spot as soon as you put down your deposit. However, if you decide to cancel your trip, we will be unable to refund your deposit.
Refunds for fully-paid trips
You may change or cancel your trip by September 6, 2023 for a refund, excluding the deposit. After September 6, 2023, no refunds will be issued.
Trip cancellation due to COVID-19

Day 1
Welcome to Mexico - set your sights on the beachside paradise of San Agustinillo
Your retreat begins here! Arrive in Oaxaca, the ancient Aztec capital of Mexico, and your beachside sanctuary for the next eight days! You'll be staying in San Agustinillo, an idyllic fishing village lined with stunning beaches and excellent waves. Your home away from home is at a tranquil seaside community of cabins and bungalows with a private beach that'll host daily yoga sessions and cook you delicious Mexican fare for the duration of your stay.
After check-in at your cabana, you'll have some time to relax before coming together for a welcome dinner. Grab a glass of your favorite drink and toast to an amazing experience ahead!
Day 2
Stretch into a day of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness
Buenos Días! Wake up to the sound of rolling waves on the shoreline and prepare for a peaceful day ahead. We’ll start each morning with a yoga and meditation session before a hearty breakfast that will set you up for the day. The rest of the day is free for relaxation, exploration, or whatever your heart and soul needs. Stroll along the beach, haunt the beachside bars at nearby Playa Zipolite, or just lie back in a hammock with a good book. Come back together with your group at sunset for dinner and another night of celebration. Salud!
Day 3
Relax on the shoreline in between yoga sessions
Welcome to another beautiful day in Mexico! Reflect on your surroundings and focus on yourself this morning with another yoga and meditation session. After breakfast, it’s another free day in paradise. Head for a hammock, treat yourself to a massage on the beach, or go sightseeing above the waves. Join your group in the evening for another amazing Mexican banquet and yoga session before calling it a night and exchanging the seabed for a comfy cabana.
Day 4
Another day of leisure under the Mexican sun
After your meditative start to the day and a hearty Mexican meal, you can decide whether to stroll along the beach, float away in the Pacific waters, or practice your own meditations with stunning views. There's a lot of space to find your inner peace and nowhere better to do it. Enjoy an all-inclusive lunch before deciding on what the rest of the day holds. Today might be a great day to build community spirit and venture out with your fellow yogis. Plan an excursion with them, find a table at a local beach bar, or set up your sun loungers close by on the sand. Share some laughs and stories with them at dinner then close out the day on your mat.
Day 5
A free day for beachgoing and bettering
Just like yesterday, you don't have anything scheduled after your morning yoga session. The day is for you to seize, and you can surely do it in style! With the perfect waves for surfing on your doorstep, you could even pick up a board! Wander along the beach to the local tourist and souvenir shops to pick up a memento from Mexico or that perfect gift for a yogi back home. Once you've chilled out, laid back, relaxed, and rested, it'll be time for another sunset, excellent meal, and group meditation. Enjoy!
Day 6
Take a surf lesson, explore the area, or relax on the shoreline in paradise
After morning yoga and breakfast, you have another free and clear schedule. What is your heart calling to do? Sit on the beach, go on an adventure, take a surf lesson? Answer the call before we close out another stellar day with a community dinner and meditation session on the shoreline.
Day 7
One final day in Mexico to make your dreams come true
It's time to reflect on your week as it comes to a close. Today's the day to get in some last-minute relaxation and enjoy all that the resort has to offer. From our morning yoga session to our final community dinner, take this time to breathe, smile, and reflect on all that you’ve experienced. We’ll close out the day with a restorative session, so you can enjoy a peaceful night’s rest for your journey home in the morning.
Day 8
It’s time to say Adiós to Mexico — for now!
We hope you've had a truly magical time in Mexico, getting closer to yourself, the waves, and the sunshine. After one last morning yoga session and a breakfast banquet, it's time to get checked out. It’ll be hard to leave Oaxaca’s beaches behind, but you can always come back on another trip. Say goodbye to your new friends and head home. Safe travels and be well!

A beachfront property, this rustic resort is comprised of traditional bungalows and villas that overlook the Pacific Ocean and stunning sunsets. Featuring terraces with hammocks, thatched roofs, tiled floors, and great views, these simple bungalows have all the modern amenities you need such as free Wi-Fi access, en-suite bathrooms, and 4-post beds with mosquito nets. With private beach access, a covered beach area with hammocks, a restaurant and bar, and massage treatments, it's the ideal destination for rest and relaxation. A kilometer from Centro Mexicano de la Tortuga, a turtle conservation center, and 2.7 miles from the chilled-out beach at Zipolite, Oaxaca, this is also the perfect location to use as a base while exploring.
