Hey Yal!
I’m Folasade, founder of Unskrypted—a shoppable streaming network that brings creative entertainment and businesses together through cultural experiences and TV/film. So curating a trip like this? Totally my vibe.
As a Nigerian-American, I’ve always felt the pull to reconnect with our roots—and Bahia, Salvador, home to the largest Yoruba presence outside of Nigeria, is the perfect place to do just that.
Now, wildest travel story? That would be ziplining into a cenote in Cancun… without knowing how to swim! I had two options: jump or crash into a rock wall. So I let go, screamed, and landed in the deep blue—terrified but totally alive. 😂
That moment pretty much sums me up: I’m all about taking bold leaps, diving into culture, tasting everything, meeting dope people, and finding joy in the connections we share. I cannot wait to explore, vibe, and rejoice with you all in Brazil!
