Hi, I'm Amara. I'm all about traveling to new places and discovering hidden gems. I’ve always wanted to check out vibrant Salvador de Bahia on the coast of Brazil and sail out to see the Bay of All Saints. There’s a cool island stopover on this tour too, which sounds crazy good! If you're looking for a mix of city sightseeing and laid-back beach relaxation, you'll totally want to come along.

We’re absolutely thrilled to have you here in Brazil, ready to take on the incredible city of Salvador! Once the country’s colonial capital, you’ll find that today Salvador (also known as São Salvador da Bahia de Todos os Santos — “Holy Savior of the Bay of All Saints”) has become the pulsating heart of the country’s Afro-Brazilian community, with culture and traditions carefully preserved. This is a city filled with festivity, with drum corps pounding out rhythms against the backdrop of historic buildings almost daily! Upon arriving at the airport, you will be whisked away to your accommodation via private transportation. After checking in, enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace. Aside from the many attractions you can check out, you’ll also find a gorgeous coastline flanking the city – a suitable introduction to the tropical splendor of Bahia! Come nightfall, don’t forget to visit the best bars and restaurants in the area.
Rise and shine! After a filling breakfast, you are free to spend the morning discovering the city on your own. Salvador is one of the oldest colonial cities in the Americas and there’s so much to see. Wander the charming cobblestone streets of the Pelourinho neighborhood and admire the wonderfully restored pastel-colored buildings of its historic center. We also suggest checking out the impressive Lacerda Elevator, easily one of the most popular Brazilian landmarks. Starting out as an old pulley system that was put in place in the 17th century to help move objects from the Lower City to the Upper City, a proper elevator was built in its place by the 19th century. This is the unique art deco structure you see today! From the top, you’ll be able to get some of the best views that all of Salvador has to offer: the Bay of All Saints, Mercado Modelo, and more.
In the evening, you will be whisked away to enjoy a local show in Bahia. As they say, the nightlife in Bahia is spectacular! On this one-of-a-kind tour, you will be treated to a performance that includes the main folkloric and cultural manifestations of Bahia, presented by the award-winning Bahia Folkloric Ballet. This will be a spectacle of lights, sounds, and movements so engaging you won’t be able to keep your eyes off the stage! With the troupe performing various dances — Maculelê, Xaxado, Dance of the Orishas, Puxada de Rede, Samba de Roda and Capoeira — you’ll want to join in! Enjoy a delicious dinner featuring Bahian cuisine to complete the experience. This will surely be a night to remember. Private transportation back to your hotel is included at the end of the night.
After a hearty breakfast this morning, it’s time to leave land behind. Make your own way down to the Terminal Marítimo, where you will find a fully-equipped schooner ready to take you on a full-day tour across the Bay of All Saints. During this tour, we will visit one of the 56 islands that sit in this bay. As soon as we set sail, you’ll already be blown away by the beauty of the clear waters around us. After around 1.5 hours of sailing, we’ll stop at Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe beach on star-shaped Frades Island, one of Salvador’s most popular tourist destinations. Here, enjoy a good swim in the irresistibly warm and clear shallows, and discover the beach huts that offer all kinds of food. After a wonderful day of swimming and sunbathing, we’ll return to Salvador at about 3:30 pm, and with luck we will enjoy a beautiful sunset before arriving back at the Terminal Marítimo.
Good morning! After a delightful breakfast, you will enjoy a free-and-easy day to take in the city sights on your own! If you want to customize your day, let us know and we can help you with optional tours like a samba class or capoeira class, so you can take a little bit of the “Salvador spirit” home with you when you leave! Today, you choose your adventure.
We hope you’ve enjoyed your wonderful adventure in Salvador and out on the waters of the Bay of All Saints! After checking out of your accommodation, we’ll take you to the airport in time for your flight back home. Until next time — have a safe journey and we hope to see you again soon!
