Cancellation policy
Refunds for deposits
We will hold your spot as soon as you put down your deposit. However, if you decide to cancel your trip, we will be unable to refund your deposit.
Refunds for fully-paid trips
If you cancel your trip after making the full payment, you may change or cancel your trip by June 19, 2024 for a refund, excluding the deposit. After this date, no refunds will be given.
You may transfer your spot
At any point until July 29, 2024, you may choose to transfer your spot to another traveler. The price will reflect the current selling price of the trip at the time of transfer. Once the new traveler has been introduced and books their spot, we will refund you for your payments. If you would like to transfer your spot, please email travelers@tourhero.com.
Note: If there is a waitlist, you may not be able to choose who you transfer your spot to. We will contact the next person on the waitlist for this trip and transfer your spot to them.
Trip cancellation due to COVID-19
A full credit will be issued if the tour is canceled when there is full border closure due to COVID-19 travel restrictions. This credit can go towards booking a future TourHero tour. We suggest buying your own travel insurance for coverage of cancellations within 30 days of the tour commencing for reasons other than a full tour cancellation.

Day 1 · August 30, 2024
Kick off your stay in Brazil with a delicious dinner
Prepare yourself to experience the brilliant, vibrant energy of Rio de Janeiro! Your 7-day Brazilian adventure begins today, and we aren't going to waste any time. After you land in Rio, you'll transfer to the hotel, drop off your bags, and get ready for dinner! We'll be heading to Belmonte Ipanema where you can choose from a Brazilian chorizo steak or an alcatra medallion. No matter what you select, you'll be treated to some bold flavors that are a perfect introduction to the city's colorful culinary culture.
Day 2 · August 31, 2024
Dive into Brazilian culture with a visit to Lapa and a tour of some local bars
The adventure continues with day 3 of our Rio trip. After breakfast, we'll head out into downtown for a bit of sightseeing! We'll be focusing on the Lapa neighborhood, home to vibrant street art and a bustling music scene. We'll stop by Escadaria Selarón, an art piece that integrates itself into the city as a celebration of Brazil. We'll stop at Bar do Tino for a lunch consisting of a few modern Brazilian delicacies. We'll cap off our time by visiting a few different bars: Bar do Serginho, Armazem Sao Thiago, and Explorer Bar.
Day 3 · September 1, 2024
Visit the awe-inspiring Christ the Redeemer statue and tour the forest before an exciting night in the city
Good morning! The sun is rising over the Rio de Janeiro skyline, lighting up the beaches and slowly awakening the city from its slumber. We have an action-packed day today, so get up and get ready! After breakfast, we'll transfer to Corcovado to see the incredible Christ the Redeemer statue. Perhaps Rio's most famous landmark, this remarkable art piece stands at more than 100 feet tall and is known throughout the world. Following this, we'll embark on a jeep tour through the forest, discovering a fantastic natural biome that exists within a stone's throw of the metropolis that is Rio.
The day's not over yet! After a bit of time to relax at the hotel, we'll head back out into the city. We'll be visiting a local samba school to learn some new moves this afternoon! Whether you're an expert dancer or someone with two left feet, you'll find samba approachable and fun. Following this experience, we'll continue on to Porto Maravilha, a newly-refurbished port neighborhood that is quickly becoming an urban hotspot. In Largo de Prainha, we'll enjoy some drinks during happy hour before finishing off our night with dinner at Angu do Gomes, a delicious restaurant.
Day 4 · September 2, 2024
Chow down at a churrascaria before a night of drinks and dancing
Today begins slowly, giving you a chance to relax at the hotel and do a bit of exploring on your own. Following this, we'll grab lunch at Carretao Ipanema, a classic churrascaria or Brazilian barbecue. With a menu consisting of all-you-can-eat BBQ, a salad bar, a hot buffet and dessert, you're sure to walk away satisfied. The schedule will then once again open up until the evening, at which point we will head to Bar da Lapa for a night out on the town. Here, we'll grab drinks, listen to some amazing music, and dance the night away with locals!
Day 5 · September 3, 2024
Take in panoramic views of Rio from Sugarloaf Mountain before sunset drinks at Classico Beach Club
Enjoy an unscheduled morning before we gather as a group and go for an excursion to the wonderful Sugarloaf Mountain. The iconic granite monolith has a magical aura about it, and you'll get a sense for its beauty as you explore it. From the top of Sugarloaf, views of the city and the ocean stretch out in all directions. It's truly stunning. To close out the day, we'll head to Classico Beach Club to sip on some drinks as the sunset casts an array of bright colors across the surface of the ocean.
Day 6 · September 4, 2024
Celebrate the end of your trip with an exciting night out at Rio Scenarium
Our trip is nearly over! For our last full day, we've once again left the schedule mostly open so that you can try out anything that might still be remaining on your Rio to-do list. Our last hurrah of the trip will be held this evening at Rio Scenarium, an amazing bar with great food, energetic music, and lively dancing. You'll have the VIP experience here, meaning that you'll get to cut the line, eat a three-course meal, and party as long as you want. It's your last night, so live it up!

Thank Rio for some amazing experiences before heading home
After a week of non-stop fun in Rio de Janeiro, it's finally time to head home. After breakfast, we'll transfer you to the airport so that you can catch your flight. We hope you had an amazing time exploring this city and seeing what Brazil has to offer!

What happens if I need to cancel my trip?

Will TourHero or the operator take care of my visa (if applicable)?
Travelers are responsible for researching visa requirements and obtaining a visa if needed. Please check government websites to ensure you have the necessary documents, along with passport requirements, before your departure date. This includes necessary transit visas, permits, and vaccinations required prior to travel and any required reciprocity fees for the destination. TourHero will provide a booking confirmation document after purchase, which may be needed to obtain a visa.
If your visa is denied for any reason, TourHero will issue a refund based on the cancellation policy. However, we are unable to provide a refund after the cancellation due date has passed.
Do I need a passport for this trip?
A full and valid passport is required for all persons traveling to any destination outside of one’s home country. Most international tours require a passport that's valid for at least six (6) months beyond the scheduled end of your itinerary. TourHero will not issue refunds based on passport issues such as renewals or lost passports.
