Hi, I’m Gioia!

I’m a fashion and lifestyle photographer, born and raised in Hong Kong, with roots in London where I studied and worked in the creative industry. My professional work is often polished and curated — but when I travel, I like to keep things spontaneous and in the moment. I usually bring just a point-and-shoot film camera, and waiting to see the roll after is half the fun!

I’m drawn to anything aesthetically pleasing — cozy cafés, perfect light (haha), and those hidden, artsy spots that look like they belong on a Pinterest board.

This retreat is for fellow creatives, artsy individuals, and anyone who finds joy in beautiful surroundings and breathtaking views- whether professionally or just for fun. It’s a dream for anyone who travels with a camera (or a Pinterest board in their head). I can’t wait to create, explore, and connect with you.

Indonesia > Tropical Moodboard: Pinterest Perfect Getaway to Bali with Gioia

Think eight days of pure creative bliss: starting in Ubud’s artsy heart, we’ll experience a traditional Melukat purification ritual at Tirta Empul Temple, meet cheeky monkeys in the lush Monkey Forest, and chase sunbeams through the magical Tukad Cepung Waterfall. We’ll wander along the scenic Campuhan Ridge Walk, explore the iconic “Gates of Heaven” at Lempuyang Temple, and marvel at the floating Ulun Danu Beratan Temple and the dramatic Handara Gate. There’s snorkeling with vibrant marine life at Menjangan Island, treks to enchanting waterfalls in Munduk, and strolls through the UNESCO-listed Jatiluwih Rice Terraces. We’ll catch sunset at Tanah Lot Temple, hop over to Nusa Penida for jaw-dropping cliffs and turquoise coves, and end with a mesmerizing Kecak Fire Dance before a seafood feast on Jimbaran Bay. All along the way, you’ll be surrounded by fellow creatives who love spontaneous adventures, beautiful surroundings, and capturing every moment as much as you do.

First light in Ubud – arrival and unwind

Welcome to Bali, friends! As we land at Ngurah Rai International Airport and make our way to Ubud, the island’s creative heart, the lush jungle and vibrant energy set the scene for our adventure. After a smooth group transfer and check-in at our stylish hotel, you’ll have free time to explore or just soak in the tropical vibes.

Day 2 · April 10, 2026
Sacred waters and jungle magic

After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll dive into Bali’s spiritual side at Tirta Empul Temple, where the holy springs have drawn pilgrims for centuries. Here, you can experience Melukat, a traditional Balinese purification ritual. It's an unforgettable, soul-refreshing start to the day. Next, we’ll wander through the lush Monkey Forest, where cheeky macaques roam among ancient stone carvings, and then take in the sweeping jungle views along the Campuhan Ridge Walk. Ubud’s natural beauty and spiritual traditions are everywhere, infusing every moment with a sense of wonder.

Day 3 · April 11, 2026
Chasing light: waterfalls and temples

Fuel up with breakfast, then get ready to chase the morning light at Tukad Cepung Waterfall, a hidden gem where sunbeams pierce through the cave for those dreamy, cinematic shots. Later, we’ll journey to the iconic Lempuyang Temple — known as the “Gates of Heaven” — where dramatic mountain views and ancient architecture make every frame a work of art. The day is all about seeking out those breathtaking spots that make Bali so legendary for creatives.

Day 4 · April 12, 2026
From highlands to hidden gates

After breakfast and checking out, we’ll set off for the serene Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, floating on a tranquil lake and shrouded in mist. It is a must-see for anyone inspired by mystical landscapes. Next up is the Handara Iconic Gate, a favorite for its striking symmetry and lush backdrop. After lunch, we’ll transfer north to Pemuteran, a laid-back coastal village known for its calm beaches and artistic community, where we’ll check in and unwind for the night.

Day 5 · April 13, 2026
Underwater dreams at Menjangan Island

Start with a relaxed breakfast, then get ready for a snorkeling adventure at Menjangan Island, part of Bali Barat National Park. This spot is famous for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and a kaleidoscope of marine life. After a day on (and under) the water, we’ll return to our Pemuteran base for a chill evening.

Day 6 · April 14, 2026
Waterfalls, rice terraces and sunset temples

After breakfast and checkout, we’ll trek to the enchanting Munduk Waterfall, surrounded by misty forests and coffee plantations. We’ll stop for lunch before heading to the UNESCO-listed Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, where endless green layers create a living work of art. Our last stop is Tanah Lot Temple, perched on a dramatic sea rock, where sunset paints everything in gold. Then we’ll transfer to Seminyak, Bali’s chic beach town, and settle in for the night.

Day 7 · April 15, 2026
Nusa Penida: cliffs, coves and crystal waters

After breakfast, we’ll catch an early fast boat to Nusa Penida, Bali’s wild little sister. The island is a photographer’s paradise, with jaw-dropping spots like Broken Beach, Angel’s Billabong, the iconic Kelingking Cliff, and the turquoise waters of Crystal Bay. Each stop is more stunning than the last, with dramatic cliffs, hidden coves, and endless ocean views. After a full day of exploring, we’ll head back to Seminyak for a free night to unwind or edit your favorite shots.

Day 8 · April 16, 2026
Culture, cliffs and firelight

Begin with breakfast, then enjoy some free time to explore Seminyak’s trendy boutiques or relax by the pool. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park, home to one of the world’s tallest statues, and then head to the legendary Uluwatu Temple, perched high above the crashing waves. As the sun sets, we’ll experience the mesmerizing Kecak Fire Dance, a traditional Balinese performance, before ending the night with a seafood dinner on the sands of Jimbaran Bay. Pure Bali magic.

Day 9 · April 17, 2026
Bittersweet goodbyes

On our final morning, enjoy breakfast and one last wander through Seminyak’s stylish streets before checking out. Our private group transfer will take us back to Ngurah Rai International Airport, but the memories, new friendships, and rolls of film (literal or digital!) will stay with us long after we leave. Until the next adventure!
