Details
Day 1 · January 12, 2026
Sea lions and stories: San Cristobal’s coastal welcome

-Touch down in the Galapagos and dive straight into the wild heart of San Cristobal! Your first stop is La Lobería, a rugged stretch of coast famed for its thriving sea lion colonies. Watch these playful mammals bask and tumble along the rocks, while marine iguanas and Sally Lightfoot crabs scuttle nearby, setting the tone for the archipelago’s unrivaled biodiversity.

-In the afternoon, the Interpretation Center offers an immersive introduction to the islands’ volcanic origins, unique ecosystems, and the critical conservation work that keeps this natural wonder thriving.

-Next, hike to Tijeretas, a scenic lookout where frigatebirds soar overhead and crystal-clear waters invite you to snorkel among vibrant marine life.

-As the sun sets, relax at Punta Carola beach, a favorite spot for both locals and wildlife, before gathering for a welcome dinner at a local restaurant – your first taste of Galapagos hospitality and flavors. What a day – and this trip has only just begun!

Day 2 · January 13, 2026
Snorkeling the stone giant: Kicker Rock adventure

-Set out for one of the Galapagos’ most iconic natural monuments: Kicker Rock (León Dormido). This towering tuff cone, rising 500 feet above the Pacific, is a magnet for marine life and a dream for snorkelers. Glide through its deep channels and you might spot sea turtles, rays, marine iguanas, and even the elusive hammerhead shark. Above the waves, blue-footed boobies and frigatebirds nest in the rock’s crevices, offering a living lesson in adaptation and survival.

-After a lunch shared with your fellow explorers, return to San Cristobal for a free evening to reflect on the day’s underwater wonders.

Day 3 · January 14, 2026
Giants of the highlands: Tortoises and crater lakes

-Today’s journey takes you inland to Galapaguera Cerro Colorado, a sanctuary dedicated to the conservation of the legendary Galapagos giant tortoise. Here, learn about the evolutionary journey and ongoing protection of these gentle giants, some of which can live for over a century and weigh as much as a small car!

-Next, travel to El Junco Lagoon, a rare freshwater crater lake nestled in lush highlands – an important habitat for native birds and a striking contrast to the islands’ arid coasts.

-Lunch at a local ranch offers a taste of traditional Galapagos cuisine, rounding out a day rich in both wildlife and local culture.

Day 4 · January 15, 2026
Trails and tides: Santa Cruz Island’s coastal treasures

-After an early speedboat ride to Santa Cruz Island, prepare for a scenic trek to Tortuga Bay. The 45-minute walk is alive with lava lizards, curious birds, and unique plant life, all thriving in the island’s volcanic landscape. At the end of the trail, Playa Brava’s wild beauty awaits – though its waves are best admired from shore.

-Continue to Playa Mansa, a tranquil bay sheltered by mangroves, perfect for swimming and soaking up the serene surroundings.

-This day is a living lesson in the diversity of Galapagos habitats and the species that call them home. Head back to the hotel energized and ready for another day of adventures!

Day 5 · January 16, 2026
Giant tortoises and conservation in Santa Cruz

-Venture into the highlands of Santa Cruz to El Manzanillo ranch, where giant tortoises roam freely through lush pastures. Witness these iconic creatures in their natural environment and learn about their vital role in the ecosystem.

-After a hearty lunch at the ranch, visit the Charles Darwin Research Station, a hub of scientific discovery and conservation. Here, ongoing research supports the preservation of Galapagos biodiversity, and you’ll see firsthand how science and stewardship go hand in hand in this living laboratory of evolution.

-A free night means you can rest, relax, or explore at your own pace.

Day 6 · January 17, 2026
Choose your own island adventure

-Today with your group, choose your adventure with a guided excursion to one of the nearby islands: Santa Fe, South Plaza, North Seymour, or Bartolomé. Each island offers its own unique blend of landscapes and wildlife. Whether you’re hiking among land iguanas and prickly pear cacti or snorkeling alongside sea lions and colorful fish, every moment is an opportunity to witness the Galapagos’ extraordinary adaptations and endemic species.

Day 7 · January 18, 2026
Another day of choice and a farewell feast

-Continue your exploration with another island adventure, deepening your connection to the archipelago’s wild wonders. Spot blue-footed boobies, marine iguanas, or even Galapagos penguins, depending on your chosen destination.

-As your journey draws to a close, gather for a farewell dinner – a chance to share stories and celebrate the unforgettable experiences and new knowledge gained in this natural paradise.

Day 8 · January 19, 2026
Waving goodbye from the plane

-After breakfast, take a final group transfer to Baltra airport. As you leave the Galapagos behind, carry with you not just memories, but a deeper understanding of one of the world’s most unique and important ecosystems. Safe travels – until we meet again!
