The heart of the Swiss Alps is an ideal backdrop for a mindfulness retreat, providing mountain scenery par excellence. You’ll be based in the small, car-free village of Wengen, which sits 1,274 meters above sea level. The remote mountain village, with its incredible mountain air and majestic views, is only accessible by train. Once you've settled in your serene accommodation, you’ll follow a relaxing schedule, perfectly tailored towards finding inner peace and external calm. Enjoy days filled with daily guided meditations, yoga, connected circles, and self-growth work. Take the time to explore the outdoors and hike amid some of the most beautiful landscapes on Earth. You'll have ample free time to partake in a host of other outdoor activities, socialize with your fellow travelers and learn mindfulness techniques that you can depend on for life. For those looking to truly escape from it all, come back to basics and get back in touch with their divine selves, a Swiss mountain mindfulness retreat offers all of this and so much more.
Invite pure zen into your life on this mountain mindfulness retreat that will nourish your mind, body, and soul. Each day is a different experience that follows an open schedule (with some amount of flexibility) built around personal growth, healing, activities that promote your well-being, and opportunities to connect with like-minded guests on the retreat. Guided by inspiring humans, this journey invites aspects of self-work, mindfulness practices, yoga, meditation, calm, and stillness.
Each morning, the day starts in the early hours of dawn with a morning practice session at 6 am. Reconnect with what is truly important — you’ll find that the stillness of the fresh mountain air brings you clarity and peace as you focus on the present moment. This way, we set our minds up for our day ahead. At 8 am, we have our first meal of the day — a light breakfast accompanied with hot drinks and fresh juices to energize us for the day ahead. From 9 am to noon, we invite our inspiring coaches and speakers to take us through a set of workshops and self-growth talks that will help cultivate positive habits, thoughts, and rituals to build a more mindful you.
At 12 pm, we break for lunch with a nourishing meal. Throughout this retreat, there will be vegan and vegetarian options available, and should you require refreshments at any other time, you’ll find tea, coffee, and fruit available all day. After lunch, an afternoon of movement and free time at 2 pm will allow you to get out and about, explore the surroundings, and immerse yourself in nature as the weather permits. Engage in hikes and outdoor activities, mingle with your fellow retreat members, or choose from some extra activities that are of interest to you. We start our evening practice at 5 pm, so there is ample time for you to make use of this three-hour block to discover what you’d like to do each day.
To wind down, we’ll have an evening practice session to clear our minds, unpack the day, and reconnect with ourselves. A nourishing dinner follows your evening practice, then you are free to spend the rest of your night however you wish or retire early to bed to prepare for an early start tomorrow.
