Join us on an unforgettable trip to Marrakech in Morocco! This trip combines relaxation and adventure, giving you the chance to focus on yourself while also exploring the wonders that Morocco has to offer. From your home base in Marrakech, you’ll visit Essaouira, travel deep into the gorgeous Atlas Mountains, and tour Ouzoud waterfall, one of North Africa’s finest natural gems. When you’re not on an epic day trip, you’ll have time to just chill at the riad, stretching out your body with yoga or just taking in the views. This authentic trip is the perfect introduction to Moroccan culture!
Today’s the day! Your adventure in Morocco begins as soon as you step off the plane. You’ll be taken to your riad, a kind of traditional Moroccan accommodation centered around a lush terrace, where you will drop off your bags and have some time to relax. You’ll then head out for a guided tour of Marrakech to get acquainted with the country’s most iconic city. Landmarks like Jemaa El Fnaa, Souk, Bahia Palace, Palais El Badii are all on the agenda, so get ready for the perfect introduction! After grabbing lunch in the city, it’s back to the riad for dinner and some downtime before bed. Feel free to take advantage of the yoga space in the riad before calling it a night!
Morocco has a reputation for being a country defined only by deserts, but this isn’t true at all. There are a variety of environments to explore, and we’re visiting an entirely different one today: the coast! We’re headed to Essaouira, a port city that offers excellent views of the sea. Once we arrive, we’ll head out on a sightseeing tour where we’ll learn about the rich history of this city that once was frequented by pirates! When evening comes around, it’s back to Marrakech for the rest of the day.
Good morning! Today brings yet another adventure. After brunch at the accommodation, we’ll head to the Atlas Mountains for a tour of two separate locations. First up is Ait Ben Haddou, a quiet village that has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The clay houses that are found here are totally unique, and you’ll have a blast learning about them. Next up is Ouarzazate, a location famous in Morocco for the heavy presence of Hollywood filmmakers. Game of Thrones, the Mummy, and Gladiator (among many others) have all been filmed here! Keep your eyes peeled – you may just recognize some of the locations in the city.
Today’s the last full day of the trip, but we aren’t going to slow down the pace. In the morning, we’re hitting the road once again to visit Ouzoud waterfall, a towering cascade of water that is more than 300 feet tall! The lush surroundings make the area feel like a true oasis in the dry environment of Morocco, and you’ll have plenty of time to snap some photos in this beautiful location. (Trust us – your Instagram followers are gonna want to see this.) We’ll also grab lunch at a local restaurant before heading back to the accommodation for a final night in beautiful, peaceful Marrakech.
It’s been an excellent trip to Morocco! We’ve managed to fit in a whole lot of fun into just a few days, but it’s sadly time to head home. After brunch this morning, it’s off to the airport to catch a flight. Safe travels!
