Rise and shine, we hope you had a restful sleep last night. This morning, awaken to your first yoga session today. It's time to connect the mind and body through breathing and gentle movement. Then, we'll enjoy a hearty breakfast to boost our energy levels. The rest of the day is free for you to do as you please. Relax, unwind, or why not do one of the many optional activities we can offer? (see optional add-ons below).
After our morning yoga session and a delicious breakfast, we'll meet our guide and journey to the village of Mas, located about 9 miles from the center of Ubud. Here you will take part in activities that are unique to Bali. This includes meeting with the village priest and astrologer who will use ancient methods to read your fortune and tell you more about your destiny (translated by your local guide). You will also receive a private blessing from the priest, performed in the sanctity of the house temple. Then, our guide will take us to the banks of the Ayung River to receive a 90-minute authentic Balinese massage. Relax amidst tranquil nature. Have a shower afterwards if you wish, then enjoy a chef-prepared private 3-course riverside picnic lunch — a wonderful way to end this immersive excursion!
Rise with the sun and enjoy another morning yoga session before indulging in a wonderful breakfast. Today, food it on the agenda! We'll participate in a cooking class to enjoy a fascinating introduction to the exotic ingredients and unique culture of Balinese food. Through this culinary experience, you'll gain valuable insight into the techniques of food preparation used on a daily basis in homes all over the island.
After morning yoga and breakfast, we'll catch our transfer to the Ubud bridge and go on a hike along one of Ubud’s most scenic walking paths at the Tjampuhan Ridge. As we traverse the gorgeous landscape, we'll wander the verdant fields, come across panoramic views of the surrounding lush valleys, and fall even more in love with Ubud's natural surroundings. At the end of our hike, enjoy a well-deserved foot massage and a tranquil spa experience! Then, lunch at local restaurant awaits.
After our usual morning yoga session and breakfast, we'll depart from the hotel at 8:00 am for a full-day exploration of Bali’s lakes and hills. First, we'll drive towards Bedugul in the central highlands (famous for its stunning beauty and three lakes). We'll stop at the Royal Temple of Mengwi to admire this stunning piece of historic architecture and marvel at the moat that surrounds it, the multi–roofed meru shrines, and the intricately carved wooden gates. Next, we visit a traditional market to browse the stalls alongside the locals — learn about the different uses of herbs and spices in Balinese cooking. Then, it's onwards to Lake Bratan, one of Bedugul’s three natural lakes. Snap photos of Ulun Danu, a 17th-century temple located on the lake’s edge. Around midday, we travel to the slopes of Mount Batukaru, Bali’s second highest mountain, to have lunch. After we have replenished our energy, we'll enjoy a light trek through the rice fields.
Awaken to another beautiful day in Bali, one that will start with a restorative yoga session with the group and a delectable breakfast. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy, but save some energy for dinner! You'll be having a very special dinner experience with the Royal Family tonight.
It’s the final day of this retreat — we hope you have had a wonderful journey in connecting with your mind, body, and spirit. After one last breakfast, it’s time to leave the hotel behind and depart for the airport. We hope to see you again — travel safe!
