An inspiring story of utilizing yoga as a tool for personal development and growth in such a short amount of time. Meghin is a teacher not just in the classroom but in all aspects of her life. Her desire to teach and continually learn makes her an inspiration to be around. Her energy can be heard in the playlists early in the AM with the bass booming. Her knowledge can be seen in the postural sequencing of her classes. Her impact on the class can be felt through her authenticity and occasional swearing to keep everyone on their toes. Everyday is a potential to flow as she challenges her students to look truthfully into their yoga mats to see who they really are, to see where they want to go, or who to be.
Meghin is a 500 hour E-RYT Power instructor with a Baptiste flare. She is 200 hour power trained through Exeter Power Yoga and is 300 hour LivFree Yoga certified. Meghin enjoys teaching to adults and children alike and is a Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher trainer, she owns and operates Unity Hot Yoga in Salem, NH.

I remember taking my first yoga class back in 2015 and not loving it AT ALL. I never went back after that in fact. Until in 2020 my friend Meg asked our friend group to go support her at one of her outdoor classes. I told her “I don’t like yoga, but I’m going to go because you’re my friend”. And from that outdoor class on I never stopped practicing. I developed such a love for the movement, the music, the 1 hour a day I was able to lose control of my mind and just let my practice happen. I knew very quickly I wanted to pursue teaching and share my passion with others and the vibrance it’s brought into my life. So, with 2 jobs and kids at home- I made the commitment to my 200hr and training every other weekend for 4 months and I accomplished what I set out to do! Over the past couple years and healing my mind, body and spirit-I have fully embraced that we truly have this one life to live and make the best of it. Welcome to Mexico! After landing at the airport, hop in your group transfer and head to Tulum, the coastal paradise that serves as the setting for our six-day retreat filled with yoga, great food, and unbeatable views. Check into your room, take a moment to simply be in awe of the tranquil surroundings beauty, and begin unpacking your bags. Once you're settled, we'll have our first group activity of the trip. Beginning with a welcome ceremony, you, your fellow retreat-goers, and your instructor and host Meghin will get to know each other. To help you release tension after a long day of travel, we'll wrap up this session with meditation and relaxing sounds before a delicious dinner.
Rise and take in the beauty of your first morning. The sea is sparkling under the sunrise, and energy is filling the air as the other travelers awaken. Our day begins with breakfast, giving you time to nourish yourself before our activities start up in earnest. We'll then head down to the beach for a 75-minute power vinyasa session. Designed to give you a feeling of strength and to help develop your physical fitness, this powerful yoga variant will give you confidence, energy, and excitement.
Lunch and a bit of down time lead into our cacao ceremony, which will help us open our hearts using this sacred drink to facilitate healing and growth. This special ritual will lend itself to our afternoon session of Yin yoga. Over the course of about 90 minutes, you'll be led through various relaxing poses accompanied by reiki and sound healing methods. By the time this session is over, you'll feel totally restored and rejuvenated. A dinner with the group will cap off the day.
Good morning! Today begins just like yesterday: breakfast and power vinyasa by the sea will provide energy as we step into the day. Then, after lunch, a back bending workshop gives us a chance to open up our hearts. With about 2 hours to work on this specific pose, you'll find significant progress both in your back bending and in the healing of your spirit. To continue in a similar vein, a sound healing workshop will wrap up our afternoon activities.
It's another gorgeous day in Tulum. Get up, eat some breakfast, and attend a sun salutation practice to start the day with a feeling of gratitude. This will then turn into an assisted heart opening workshop, further allowing your authentic self to come out.
After lunch, we’ll explore the area on a tour that will take us to the stunning Tulum ruins that overlook the turquoise sea. After marveling at ancient Mayan innovation, we’ll head back to the hotel and enjoy a 90-minute Chakra flow session. Before dinner, take some free time to enjoy some quiet, introspective moments in this incredibly picturesque location. Allow the views to inspire you and reassure you of the open, inviting nature of the world. Hold that feeling close; it will be key once the retreat ends and you return home!
It's the last full day of our Yucatan getaway, and we're going to make sure to spend as much time as possible relaxing, healing, and opening our hearts. We'll begin with slow power yoga near the ocean. Allow the sound of the waves and the rhythm of the tide to give you energy as you try out new poses and discover newfound power within yourself. In the evening, we'll have a closing ceremony that includes hands-on yin yoga and a sound bath by the sea.
Day six of our Mexico yoga retreat is here. We'll have one final breakfast to start the day before a session of slow flow yoga. Savor this last session and listen to what your body and mind are telling you; be as present as possible. After about an hour of yoga, we'll say our goodbyes and begin heading home. Your heart is open and your transformation is complete, so just enjoy flourishing and living your most fulfilling life!
