-Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be driven to your lodge to begin your African adventures.
-After having lunch, it’s time to kick off your time in nature with a boat trip on Lake Naivasha. Get your cameras well-positioned to snap some pictures of giraffes, zebras and impalas on the shore.
-After the boat trip, pull on your hiking boots for a hike to Crescent Island, Lake Naivasha’s haven for African animal and plant species that you can admire along the way.
-Upon finishing your hike, you’ll return to the lodge where you’ll be picked up and driven to a welcome dinner featuring local Kenyan cuisine.
-Start your day with an early breakfast at the lodge before heading out to embark on a two-hour bike tour at Hell’s Gate National Park. Keep your eyes peeled for herds of Thompson’s gazelle’s, zebra, hartebeest, and the over 100 species of birds as you peddle your way around the park.
-Park your bike to explore the gorges that contain narrow passageways and caves.
-Afterwards, delve into the local life and customs of those in the Great Rift Valley with a visit to a vibrant local Maasai community.
-Following this enriching experience, head back to the lodge for lunch and relaxation after a day full of movement.
-The evening will conclude with dinner and time for you to reflect on the day’s adventures while looking forward to the next one.
-Eat a nourishing breakfast before packing up and checking out of your lodge to commence the day ahead in Africa’s gem, Maasai Mara.
-Check into your new lodge located in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve to enjoy lunch and gaze into the unbelievable landscape that surrounds you.
-In the afternoon, hop into your safari vehicle for a game drive that will show you the beauty of Africa’s wild animals in their natural habitats. Witness the ‘Big Five’ cats in action as they hunt for their next prey, see the giraffes saunter across the plains, and shift your view to see the birds circling overhead.
-Once you’ve returned from your memorable game drive, you’ll return to the lodge to have dinner and encounter animals at your doorstep.
-Savor breakfast at the lodge before leaving to experience a new day in Maasai Mara National Reserve.
-The Maasai Mara National Reserve is one of the biggest game reserves in Africa, and is home to over 95 species of animals as well as 400 species of birds. As you explore the vast plains, keep an eye out for the big cats that roam the expanse of the reserve and witness the Great Migration of animals such as wildebeests, zebras, and more making the long trek to crossing Mara River.
-After what felt like a movie at Maasai Mara, head back to the lodge for dinner and time to write about the day’s highs and nature encounters.
-Start your day fresh with an optional activity of a hot air balloon safari ride with a champagne breakfast or breakfast at the lodge followed by an exhilarating game drive. Whether from up high or down low, savor the Maasai views where you can witness the animal kingdom of Africa, such as herds of rhino, prides of lions, crocodiles, warthogs, and much more.
-As the sun sets over the bush, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and dreams of your safari treks.
-Kickstart your day with breakfast at the lodge before being picked up to immerse yourself in the Maasai village. You’ll learn that the Maasai’s culture is as vibrant as their outfits as you view their traditional jewelry on display, such as their brightly beaded necklaces, bracelets, and amulets. Then, dance along with the Masaai dancers as they jump to the rhythm of the high-pitched singers in their circle with a jumping dance known as the Adumu.
-When your feet need a break, head back to the lodge for lunch before venturing to Nairobi to end the trip on another high note.
-Once in Nairobi you’ll check in to your new hotel and head to your farewell dinner at The Carnivore Restaurant, where you’ll feast on succulent meats roasted on Maasai swords, and end with dessert and coffee.
-Say goodbye to the plains of Kenya and check out of your hotel for your transfer to the airport.
-As the plane lifts off, reflect on your big-time adventures in Kenya and have safe travels home. We hope you’ve enjoyed your safari bucket list adventure!
