Since this vibrant city is located in the Mississippi Delta, it’s a stone’s throw away from sprawling swampland and gator-filled waters. You have the option to head out on a cool guided airboat tour that will have you venturing into New Orleans’ wild bayou country on the tidewaters of cypress swampland, located on the edge of Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. Catch sight of fearsome alligators and shy turtles basking in the shallows, spot herons and egrets hunting for fish, and above all enjoy the thrilling ride through this lush forested area.
