Aloha! And welcome to the Hawaiian paradise island of Oahu. Check out of the airport, grab an Uber and take a transfer to your accommodation. Once you’ve unpacked, stretch those legs and get ready for the perfect introduction to the area with a hike to Diamond Head summit! A great nature trip, the 1.8-mile path will lead you through flora and fauna to a glorious view across the valley. From the top, enjoy views of the entire crater, Waikiki Beach, and the Pacific Ocean. In the evening, why not head into town to explore the bars on offer, or sit back and relax in your hotel and indulge in a cocktail or two, accompanied by a spectacular Waikiki sunset.
Good morning, and welcome to your first day proper in Hawaii! The day is yours to do as you please, and with the beach on your doorstep fun and relaxation is at your fingertips. Those who fancy an alternative take on Diamond Head can try an E-bike tour and save their legs for a night on the town. Waikiki has some of the best nightclubs in Hawaii, so pop your cocktail hat on and get exploring! Jazz fans will enjoy Blue Note, and RumFire nightclub is a great place to bust some moves.
Shake off your party head and take a leisurely breakfast — the whole day is yours to enjoy however you please! Take a stroll along the beautiful sands, go for a dip in the ocean, or enjoy the many watersports on offer. You’ll find the likes of jet skis, surfing and parasailing close by, so if you’re looking to add some thrills to your party time you won’t have to go far! In the evening, why not consider joining the sunset booze cruise? With some free drinks, pumping music and an amazing sunset, it’s the perfect end to a day in paradise.
Brush yourself down after last night’s jollies and head out before the sunrise to see Lanikai Pillbox. The hike to the viewpoint takes you along the Kaiwa Ridge Trail, one of the most picturesque on the island. You’ll find great views of Lanikai Beach, Kailua Beach, Mokulua Island, Kaneohe Bay and Makapu’u Lighthouse. Give yourself a pat on the back when you reach the top — that early start was well worth it! The rest of the day is yours to enjoy, so grab your beachwear and get set for some serious relaxation.
The world is your oyster today, so how will you spend it? Feel free to soak up some rays and top up your tan, or why not go meet some local wildlife with a snorkeling trip to Turtle Canyons? Wildllife lovers will also enjoy a trip to Honolulu Zoo, home to a host of reptiles, mammals and amphibians. In the afternoon, consider a trip to North Shore to see one of the region’s best sunsets. You might also like to sample Giovanni’s famous Shrimp Truck, an eatery boasting some of the finest seafood in the whole of Honolulu!
Wow, it’s day six already! Time certainly moves fast when you’re having fun. Once you’ve filled up on breakfast, take some time to plan your day. You could hang around the hotel and make an early start on the cocktails, enjoy the beautiful beach or try something completely different. Honolulu has some fantastic places to soak up some culture and history, including Iolani Palace, once home to the Kamehameha Dynasty and the only place of its kind in the US. The Polynesian Cultural Center is another great place to discover Hawaii’s rich history, and shoppers will love the Ala Moana Mall — here you’ll find some great souvenirs to take back home.
With tomorrow being home time, today’s your last day to tick off any further activities you have planned, or just hit the beach and indulge! If you fancy an excursion, check out the nearby Manoa Falls. It’s a gorgeous hike to a 150-meter waterfall, and played host to scenes in Jurassic Park and The Hunger Games. You could also consider a trip to Pearl Harbor, and learn all about its role in World War II. Gather your fellow travelers together in the evening — it’s your last night in Waikiki so be sure to go out with a bang!
