Day 1

Welcome to Valencia, Spain – a city of culture next to the Mediterranean sea

Welcome to Valencia, a beautiful Spanish city on the cusp of the Mediterranean sea! Once you’ve checked out of the airport, grab a metro or bus and take a short 20-minute journey to the city. Drop your bags off and get going! Valencia is ideal for exploring on foot. You’ll find a delightful mixture of the old and new, with the likes of the city’s cathedral and Plaza de la Reina square contrasting with the futuresque central market and Serrano Towers. Don’t get too full on Spanish flavor just yet — save your appetite for the evening and get to know your fellow travelers at a local tapas restaurant.

Day 2

A different kind of city tour — challenge yourself with an outdoor escape room experience

Buenos días! Wake up to the first day proper of your Valencia adventure. Indulge in a hearty Mediterranean breakfast and get set for a city tour with a difference. You’ve heard of — and probably tried — escape rooms, now you’ll get to experience one in the great outdoors. You’ll be taken on a tour around Valencia’s secret routes and hidden corners whilst searching for clues and solving challenges as a team. It’s a fabulous way to add an extra edge to a traditional city tour, and a great means of getting to know your travel companions. Suitably acquainted with your new surroundings by day, an evening’s bar crawl will show you the city by night. Valencia has a cool and vibrant atmosphere in the after-hours, and your host will show you some of its finest party spots.

Day 3

Visit Valencia’s hot springs, swim in the water and go exploring

Shake off your sleepy party head and dust yourself down for the perfect livener: hot springs! You’ll enjoy a tour around Valencia’s most beautiful natural swimming spots, from Bridal Veil Falls to the Blue Pools. Here you can swim, float and revitalize your body and mind, or go exploring the canyons and caves close by. With an optional fish pedicure, it’s the perfect activity to see another side of Valencia and recharge your batteries ahead of a free evening in the city.

Day 4

Explore the Mediterranean on a paddleboard, then tour the futuristic side of Valencia on a segway!

After yesterday’s tour of Valencia’s hot springs, today you’ll get to glide the ocean! The Mediterranean Sea offers a gorgeous vista of the Spanish city, and how better to experience it than on a stand-up paddleboard tour? Your instructor will introduce you to this awesome mode of transport, then lead you on a ride across the waves. After a bite to eat, pop your city legs back on and gear yourself up for another tour with a difference, segway-style. These electric-powered stand-up vehicles are perfect for navigating busy places whilst conserving your energy, and you’ll get to see the City of Science and Arts by night. This exciting trip will introduce you to Valencia’s modernist architecture, including the L’Hemisferic and L’Umbracle. You’ll hear all about the work of architect Santiago Calatrava and see a futuristic side of Valencia up close.

Day 5

Learn all the secrets of authentic Valencian cuisine at a paella cooking class!

Enjoy your last full day in the sunshine city by getting to know something truly Valencian: paella. This famous dish is often considered a Spanish staple, but it’s actually from Valencia, and you’ll find the most authentic paella in the city itself. You’ll get to make your own paella as a team, learning secrets passed down through generations, and then happily sample the results! You’ll also take a trip to Ruzafa Market and shop for ingredients as the locals do. With your belly finely-stuffed on genuine Valencian cuisine, take the afternoon to snap up some souvenirs of your happy time in the city and maybe head out for one last night of partying to celebrate your time in Spain.

Day 6

After a wonderful five days in Valencia, it’s time for one last Mediterranean breakfast before you head home. Bid your new friends adios and be happy — now you can get planning your next adventure!
