Hi, I’m Maira, a passionate traveler and adventure enthusiast. I curated this trip because I wanted to share the hidden gems and unforgettable experiences I've discovered throughout my journeys. Travel has always been a way for me to learn about different cultures, push my boundaries, and create memories that last a lifetime.

I’m a fan of activities that give me a mix of thrill and connection with nature, whether it’s hiking through dense forests, diving into crystal-clear waters, or exploring local markets. I love immersing myself in new environments, and I believe every trip offers something unique and transformative. Join me on this adventure, and let’s make it one to remember!

Indonesia > Barefoot in Bali: Adventure, Connection, & Sunset Views with Maira

From the lush temples and waterfalls of Ubud to the crystal-clear waters and cliffside views of Nusa Penida, this trip is all about chasing beauty, connecting with nature, and soaking in the vibrant spirit of Bali. We’ll explore the sacred Monkey Forest, visit ancient temples like Goa Gajah and Ulun Danu Beratan, and wander through the serene Jatiluwih rice terraces — a UNESCO World Heritage site. There’s time carved out for waterfall hikes in Munduk, coconut tastings with mountain views, and slow strolls through vibrant village streets. Then, it’s off to the island paradise of Nusa Penida for beach-hopping at Diamond and Atuh, a visit to the iconic Kelingking viewpoint, and snorkeling with manta rays in the turquoise sea. We’ll close it out with a golden sunset Kecak fire dance at Uluwatu Temple and a seaside seafood feast under the stars at Jimbaran Bay. Every day flows between cultural depth, laid-back freedom, and the perfect mix of soulful exploration and island bliss. Come join me in Bali!

Details
Day 1 · April 20, 2026
Welcome to Ubud, the soul of Bali

-Welcome to Bali! Our adventures in tropical paradise begin as soon as we land.

-Hop on a transfer to our serene retreat in Ubud, the cultural and spiritual heart of the island.

-We’ll check in at our tranquil resort, where the gentle sounds of nature and the scent of frangipani will welcome you into a slower pace.

-Spend the rest of the day settling in, resting, or exploring your surroundings—because the adventure has just begun.

Day 2 · April 21, 2026
Sacred temples and forest magic

-Today is all about exploring the mystical side of Ubud. We’ll start by stepping into the enchanting Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary, where ancient temples are guarded by curious long-tailed macaques and jungle vines draped over timeworn stone.

-Next, we’ll visit the beautifully carved Taman Saraswati Temple, dedicated to the Balinese goddess of wisdom and the arts. Its lotus-filled pond is like a living painting — the perfect photo spot!

-After a relaxing lunch at Taman Dedari, we’ll explore Goa Gajah, or “Elephant Cave,” a temple complex dating back to the 9th century, with rock-wall carvings, bathing pools, and a cave thought to be used for spiritual meditation.

-The evening is yours to relax or wander through Ubud's charming streets.

Day 3 · April 22, 2026
Highlands and hidden waterfalls

-Get ready for a day of nature and wonder as we head north into Bali’s lush highlands.

-Our first stop is the Jatiluwih Rice Terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site showcasing the ancient subak irrigation system and jaw-dropping landscapes that look straight out of a postcard.

-Then, we’ll make our way to the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, floating like a dream on the calm waters of Lake Bratan.

-Our adventure continues with a scenic hike through Munduk’s forests to find cascading waterfalls and hidden coffee plantations.

-At the end of the experience, we’ll take a sweet pause with a traditional Balinese cake and young coconut tasting session.

-We return to our hotel by evening for well-earned rest under the stars.

Day 4 · April 23, 2026
One island to another — escape to Nusa Penida

-This morning, we check out and set off on a new chapter of our adventure — Nusa Penida, a wild and breathtaking island off Bali’s southeast coast.

-After a transfer and fast boat ride from Sanur harbor, we’ll explore the dazzling east side of the island.

-Our first stop is Atuh Beach, a secluded cove framed by dramatic cliffs and turquoise waters, perfect for a swim or sun-soaked chill session.

-Next, we head to Diamond Beach, famous for its dramatic viewpoint and white sands carved into a cliffside staircase. I promise, it'll be pure magic.

-After lunch at a local spot, we’ll check in at our clifftop hotel, Semabu Hills, where ocean views stretch on forever.

Day 5 · April 24, 2026
Underwater dreaming

-Nusa Penida continues to amaze with its raw beauty and epic landscapes. We’ll kick off the day with visits to Kelingking Beach (yes, the famous T-Rex cliff!) and Broken Beach, where a collapsed cave has formed a natural bridge over turquoise waves. These jaw-dropping coastal spots are a photographer’s dream.

-Then it’s time to dive into the island’s aquatic wonders with a snorkeling trip to three sites: the Manta area, where graceful rays might glide beneath us; the vibrant coral gardens of Gamat Bay; and the peaceful Turtle area, a favorite hangout for — you guessed it — sea turtles.

-We return to the hotel in the evening for some well-deserved downtime.

Day 6 · April 25, 2026
Culture, fire, and ocean feasts

-After breakfast, we say goodbye to Nusa Penida and return to Bali mainland by fast boat.

-Our cultural finale begins at Uluwatu Temple, one of Bali’s most important sea temples perched dramatically on a cliff above the Indian Ocean.

-As the sun dips low, we’ll experience the powerful Kecak Dance — a hypnotic traditional performance with fire and rhythm that brings ancient stories to life.

-We’ll top off the evening with a grilled seafood feast right on the beach at Jimbaran Bay, soaking in the flavors and the views.

-Then it’s off to our final stay in Seminyak, Bali’s stylish seaside hub.

Day 7 · April 26, 2026
Farewell for now, Bali

-After one last slow morning and breakfast at the hotel, we’ll check out and make our way to the airport for your departure flight.

-As we say goodbye to Bali, take with you the memories of sunrise hikes, sacred temples, cliffside beaches, and all the magic we created together.

-This may be the end of the trip, but it’s only the beginning of the stories we’ll carry forward. Until next time, adventure seekers.
