We’re totally thrilled to have you here with us in Croatia — we hope you’re excited to have an incredible Zagreb experience! Zagreb is the capital of Croatia and you’ll find it to be one of the best places for an awesome city break, offering visitors cultural events, festivals, historic sights, a smorgasbord of restaurants, and a lively nightlife! Once you’ve arrived and checked into your accommodation, prepare yourself and your belly! We’ve lined up a special welcome dinner at a local grill restaurant to celebrate your first night in this wonderful city.
Rise and shine! We hope you are well-rested and ready to tackle the city of Zagreb! Today, it’s a two-wheel adventure through the streets. You’ll be taken on an eye-opening bicycle tour to see Zagreb in the day. With one of our expert guides leading the way, you will get to learn about Zagreb’s fascinating and complex history, and also discover its place in the modern world. As you meander your way through old and new buildings, you will encounter 18th- and 19th-century Austro-Hungarian architecture, outdoor cafes, museums, parks, and friendly locals.
It’s time to make new friends! Let’s quench that thirst and head out into the night on our epic bar crawl. You will likely be surprised at how lively and varied Zagreb's nightlife is, for a city of fewer than one million people! You’ll get to visit some of the unique bars that we’ve picked out specially for you. This tour includes entrance fees and a few free drinks for you to enjoy — make the most of it, mingle with locals and visitors alike, and don’t forget to have tons of fun!
We’re saying hello to the great outdoors today — at the stunning Plitvice Lakes National Park! Located southwest of the city of Zagreb, this national park is an idyllic back-to-nature escape that boasts 295 square kilometers of protected land featuring pristine forests, cascading waterfalls, limestone karsts, and glorious blue-green lakes to explore. Its status as a UNESCO site stems from the unique geology found here. You’ll see for yourself just how magical Plitvice Lakes can be as we explore the region. Don’t forget to snap pics for the ‘gram!
Back in the city, it’s time for some chill moments in an art studio. Get creative and hands-on during a fun painting class with your group. This is where you can show off your artistic ability (or, if you’ve never considered yourself a painter, discover if you’re the next Vlaho Bukovac). Now, what’s an evening of art without something delicious to sip on? You’ll also have a wine tasting session to appease your taste buds and round off your night of culture. This is the life!
You’ve heard of “escape rooms”, where you band together with your friends to solve puzzles to advance in the game. Now here’s Zagreb’s special version! The Zagreb Outdoor Escape Experience is the ultimate interactive city game that sees you racing against time as you wander the uptown streets, solving riddles and finding clues to get to your next checkpoint. Over the course of the game, you’ll likely encounter many famous landmarks of the city to get your clues — all part of the plan. It’s time to take the challenge and escape Zagreb!
Ah, what’s a city without a unique museum or two? Housed in a baroque palace, the Museum of Broken Relationships is a place where memories of broken hearts live. Perhaps a strange theme for a museum, but there’s no denying that its deep and profound theme resonates with us humans like no other! As you walk the halls of this bittersweet museum, you’ll find that it houses mementos from broken relationships submitted by love-lost individuals from around the world.
On your last full day in the city, it’s time to get serious with the exploring. Today, you will tackle various attractions. See the famous Lotrščak Tower, a fortified tower located in an old part of town, erected back in the middle of the 13th century to guard the southern gate of the Gradec town wall. Then, visit two museums: the Museum of Illusions (which offers an intriguing visual, sensual experience as you interact with weird and wonderful optical illusions) and the Zagreb 80’s Museum (which offers you an immersive experience that replicates what living in an 80s Yugoslavian family apartment would be like). It’s a day of learning something new!
Don’t think the fun’s over just because it’s your last night in Zagreb. You’ll get to end your trip on a high note with a farewell bar crawl to catch up with your friends, relive the moments you’ve had on this 5-day Croatian break, and party the night away! Bottoms up!
How time flies! We hope you’ve enjoyed your time in Zagreb. After checking out of your accommodation, make your way to the airport in time for your flight back home. Until next time — we hope to see you again soon!
