Day 1
Begin your adventure in Miami and prepare to set sail
Welcome to Miami, a city of magic offering high-end gastronomy, pristine beaches, and vibrant nightlife. Whether you’re flying into the area a few days early to enjoy the beaches or you’re heading to the cruise ship right off the plane, you’re guaranteed to have the time of your life on this trip! Why not take a day to explore the local sights before leaving dry land? There’s the trendy art deco district of South Beach, Calle Ocho in Little Havana, or the glamorous neighborhoods of Coral Gables and Coconut Grove. We’ll depart from Miami at 5 pm, giving you plenty of time to discover all the amenities on the Norwegian Sky Cruise Line Ship and enjoy the fabulous sunset as you leave the United States behind.
Day 2
Relax and unwind on Grand Bahama Island
Wow, today’s the day to wake up in paradise! After a night of partying on the cruise ship — or simply relaxing with a dip in the pool — you’ll find yourself in the Bahamas. Your first port on Grand Bahama Island offers glorious beaches, clear blue sea and some fabulous cafes to sit and watch the world go by. Those in need of a little more adrenaline can consider swimming with the island's resident wild pigs (we kid you not!), kayaking through a mangrove forest, or snorkeling amongst the colorful tropical fish. Suitably relaxed and recharged after your day on the island, you’ll be back on the ship by 5 pm to set sail and dive back into cruise life!
Day 3
Spend a beautiful day on Great Stirrup Cay — your own private island!
Great Stirrup Cay is an extra-special island in the Bahamas, as you’ll have the whole piece of land to yourself and fellow passengers! With 268 acres to explore, you’ll find soft, white-sand beaches and a beautiful palm tree paradise wherever you tread. Kick back and relax in your very own private beachfront cabana and enjoy the beach buffet for lunch! There’ll also be an opportunity to add snorkeling or jet ski adventure to your day on Great Stirrup Cay, before returning to the ship at 6 pm.
Day 4
Explore the treasures of the Bahamian capital, Nassau
Ready to experience another sizzling day of Caribbean charm? Today, we dock at the Bahamas’ capital of Nassau, an idyllic island that will entice you with appetizing flavors, white-sand beaches, turquoise waters, and a unique history. This picturesque paradise was once a pirate’s haven. You can explore its colorful past as you wander the historical streets and the colonial fortresses that line the shores. Chow down on some local Bahamian cuisine, or try your luck at the island’s casino! With its charming mix of both old and new architecture, be sure to enjoy your last day in the Bahamas before returning to your cruise ship at 5 pm.
Day 5
Wake up in Miami and prepare for dry land
On our final day, we return to Miami. You'll wake up wondering if you’ve just dreamt the past few days! Hopefully you’ll have plenty of evidence on your camera, and now’s the chance to get uploading your photos. After breakfast and a goodbye to your sailing companions, why not take the day to relax and unwind in Miami before returning home? And don’t forget to start planning your next cruise with us soon!
